Normally there is a tactical trade off in the sense that the more attacking you are, the more you leave yourself open at the back.

But we’re offering fuck all going forward and still ridiculously open at the back.
 
This the-opposition-has-one-chance-and takes-it is recurrent. It happens far, far too often for it to be mere coincidence. It happened against Bournemouth the other day. It happened often last season. What has happened to the rigour of our defence?
 
Foden and Sterling not in the game.

Garcia has been very good, they’ve had so many chances to get clear through, it’s criminal. we’ve been dog shit, side to side in front of 10 men, we’ve looked most dangerous from set pieces which says everything. very fortunate to be level.
 
This is a difficult set up to play against without a proper striker. Square pegs round holes.
