Leicester City (H) Post Match Thread

Leicester were probably the worst opponents (other than the dippers) we could have had today with our injuries and lack of pre-season. Would it have been different if Fern's free header had not been straight at Schmeichal? - who knows?

The most depressing thought of the day is that we really, really should have bought JFE a couple of seasons ago - our defense would be a lot more organised!
Stop being such a ****

The root cause of this was starting Mahrez. We have to change our game plan / tactics to accommodate a player with a very individual style. It worked when he played for Leicester as they played the game on the break looking for him and vardy to finish We don’t play that way, we play as a team and hunt as a pack. If Mahrez has a role for us it’s impact player coming off the bench when we need something different, not the false 9 role. I wish it didn’t but my heart sinks and confidence drains whenever I see his name in the starting line up.
I think you're absolutely right

Well what can i say. I think it’s now time to change the way we play. The Barca way was fine 8 yrs ago with the players we had but I think times have moved on and perhaps we should be more direct then just trying to pass between the lines like today. Teams are now finding that they can soak up our attack and constantly counter attack us easily with our defense so far forward. This was proven last year when we lost 9 games where we had all the possession but no end result.
It’s possible to be more direct in attacking and patterns of play without having to do away with our style.

It’s a lot more than all the other forwards did today, think you’re barking up the wrong tree sticking him with the blame in this.
I don’t agree. The biggest change in our play today vs last Monday was Mahrez instead of Gabby. When Gabby plays we defend from the front far more effectively. Mahrez is a lazy, lazy player.

A lot of our fans are deluded.

Stones will come good.
Fern and Kun still have a good couple of years in them
Walkers pace makes up for his costly errors.
Rodri is world class.
Ederson is better than Allison.
Stones will come good? For fuck sake man it’s been 4 fucking years

Eric Garcia's catalan marketing team has to be one of the best in the world.

I mean I knew he was shit but some how I convinced myself he was good. They fucking had me doing self hypnosis believing the hype that they pushed in front of everyone.
Think his agent is harry fucking potter. !

Monday 2nd half last week was as bad as today. We could easily have conceded 4/5 and it was only poor finishing that got us over the line in that game. We have big problems but Pep doesn’t seem to want to change the way we play despite having so many players missing.

The fact they appear to want him says a lot about the state of barca at the moment

Why is he playing. Keep him out of the limelight.. even they might realise if it wasn’t for his lack of height, strength, pace and aggression he might be an average centre half

Plus a selfish twat. Had a great chance to play in Foden at one point but dragged his shot wide instead

This feels bigger than a loss. It feels like it's going to take 2 or 3 years to get back to a high level where we'll be able to properly compete. We haven't replaced Kompany, Yaya, Silva and I doubt we'll replace Aguero.
