These sort of direct, aggressive, disruptive, destructive, violent “interventions” from Trump supporters are only going to escalate and become more frequent.

As I have said before, Trump has been ‘deputising’ his militias for some time, and he is ramping up his efforts leading to (and beyond) Election Day right now. He has publicly supported this group that entered Portland and created even more chaos than existed before.

If he doesn’t leave office, those vigilante groups will grow and become his own informal Republican Guard, with near-official sanction (they’re not far off that now, really) and regime backing.
