Decent enough 1st half.

Torres looking a lot more lively. Mendy looking a threat going forward. KDB running the show and should have 2 or 3 assists.

Walker didn’t find his brain after the weekend.

A real mixed bag from Sterling. On the plus side, it’s the 1st game this season he’s been even remotely involved, he does look a lot sharper and obviously a good finish for the goal. On the negative side, his 1st touch (bar the goal) is fucking atrocious and he should of had a hat-trick, he arguably scored his most difficult chance.

Thought our running off the ball was very good. Much better than it has been for quite a while.

I am guessing someone sat down with Mendy in the last couple of days and pointed out where he needs to improve. Possibly his best allround performance for us.

I do like Torres. He's sharp, looks to get involved at the pointy end. He gave the ball away at one point that led to a tame Burnley attack but he will learn.

We are so much better as a team with Laporte, it's insane.

I am starting to think a lot of our problems will simply be solved by him and dias - meaning our possession game will be much better and rodri & mendy won't get as exposed defensively.

Lots of praise for Mendy's attacking play tonight and well deserved, but the most pleasing thing he did in the first half was the perfectly timed slide tackle by the touchline. Not seen that combination of confidence, aggression and defensive awareness from him in ages.

Completely agree. Sterling getting in positions too and despite pretty poor finishing he looks confident and will keep going. Laporte looks a different player to his post restart self and solid as well.

Done alright. Not vintage but doing enough to be happy with that. Torres looking much better which isn’t hard in truth, Mendy very decent, Palmer hasn’t put a foot wrong but I’d like to see him get himself involved more, sterling showing some great forward movement combined with Sunday league finishing, have to accept we need to give him a dozen good chances and hope he can take one or two. KDB running the show looking a level or three above everybody on the pitch as per usual.

Subs are going to be interesting as I’m sure he will want Bernardo to get some minutes and Pep won’t want to have any of Fernandinho Laporte kdb walker and probably mendy and sterling play 90 minutes which obviously some will have to.

He can do it, just needs to do it more regularly.

Mendy has obviously been given licence to go forward. If you look at our shape, it's almost 3 at the back at times, with Mendy playing more like a wing back.

Sterling has been absolutely brilliant

Apart from not being able to hit target. Could have had three instead of just the one. This is going to cost us this season like last, Bury sides when we can instead of not finishing them off Burnley will probably have one shot and score
