I think we need a sustained period of dominant success, like for a generation. Liverpool then united dominated for about 20yrs each. Whether we want them or not this level of success generates glory hunters, some of whom will grow up to hold prominent positions. Quite possibly a lot of people in influentual positions now grew up watching one of our red rivals winning things regularly so attached themselves to them. Its not going to be a quick fix though.

Just put the tv on and again talking about Sancho to Utd and it’s a good offer. FFS let it go, Dortmund said this is the cost and timeframe. Rags failed to meet either. Dortmund say he is staying. Why the desperation of the media, Sky mostly to bring it up daily. Total embarrassment by the media
Because without a big summer signing the rags are finished.

Sly Sports are trying desperately to keep the filth relevant.

When agent Woodwood said "we won't be bullied in the transfer market" I wonder if he meant by the media. They seem to be more desperate for the rags to sign Sancho than the rags are.

Had to laugh at that idiot Kaveh Solhekol explaining that if the Rags dont get Sancho it wouldnt be a step down if they got Dembelle. So desperate !!!!

Surprised Sky don't pay for the move themselves given that they benefit.

We have been dominant for 10 years already.

Anyone know who the commentator was on the Carabou.com stream was?

Thought the guy was good. No City bingo and stuck to mainly commentating on the game. The lack of the sidekick pundit chipping in with shit of how the opposition could get at us was good as well

"Champions Liverpool masterfully lose game to avoid fixture congestion."

"It can be revealed that the Liverpool squad had learn't moments before the game that an Arsenal player had never been to Wembley and on hearing this, senior players led by Hendo and Robbo decided to not score and let Arsenal go through. When asked for comment Hendo said " Its just what we do here at this great club......id heard the story and looked to the sky for help and Shanks looked down and just whispered into my ear, do whats right son. A spokesman for Arsenal said he was humbled by the experience but that they didn't expect anything less from a club and players that ooze class from every pore"

As Khaldoon says in his interview they can say what they want, we continue with our business model etc. The media know we are now the team to beat so every setback is greeted with faux shock horror and detailed analysis. A mixture of click bait, fear and jealousy is the motivation of most sports hacks but I agree with earlier posters providing our executive management continues its steady understated but effective development of the club and the group eventually surely the media will realise they are pushing against an incoming tide of city success which will eventually swamp them (see what I did there). No point getting wound up - it’s not as if they have opinions worth taking seriously. Sod them and let Liverpool and the rags receive all the attention as the plucky challengers they now are****

The DT this morning devotes three pages to Obersturmbannführer Southgate and his iron discipline that surrounds any hapless soul who gets picked for England. Foden and Greenwood have to enter 'purdah', oh not purdah, but a 'period of rehabilitation' and won't be spoken to until the next round of matches. How much rehab did Slabhead encounter after his guilty verdict in Greece. Double standards from Southgate who continues to put 'discipline' way ahead of an assist, a goal, an interception, a goal line clearance, or a penalty save. Another little fellah who wants to show that Napoleon has a place at the FArce as well as Les Invalides.

Next up is a fair slice of a double spread on the Dippers, adjacent to a report on the CL draw. Headline carries MANUre. About six paragraphs down there is a mention of Liverpool, and a couple of paras on CFC. Paragraph TEN has a mention of the team that finished above MANUre and CFC last season!

The Women's Semi Final of the FArce Cup? In some brilliant analysis the hack reveals how we were able to put the Arse women to the sword. It wasn't that we scored one more goal, or that we had the appearance of The Rose of Cincinatti or Big Lean Sam, no, it was down to the fact that free-scoring against poor sides Arse were simply 'lacklustre'! Nothing changes when it comes to doling out credit. BBC were desperate for an Arse equaliser.

Said that whilst watching with my lads. Having no co-commentator chatting utter bollocks for 90 minutes was poor joy. And like you said, the bloke commentating actually concentrated on the action. Just how it should be.
