The full back will help a bit but the midfield is a complete mess.

And beyond that we’re moving a number of our best players from their most effective positions because we have our strikers injured and as a consequence we’re massively hampering ourselves. Sterling is much better on the left, where he scored 30+ goals last year and Foden has been outstanding on the right.

Pep seems to be losing the plot and we look a shadow of the side we were.

The positive was Dias. He looked assured. Good on the ball etc.
 
Started well and then fell off after 20 or so mins. Eddy made the error for the goal but kept City in it right till the end. In addition, Diaz made some crucial last ditch tackles.

Raz should’ve gotten 3 points but we know what happened. Poor performance from a number of players overall.

Feels like Pep may walk away at the end of the season. Kev looking unbothered every game when thin start going awry. There’s a fragility in the team that has finally manifested itself.

Regardless, through thick or thin we stick with them.

Don't have the energy to be mad for the sake of it.

I gave you what I think are valid reasons, we are playing every 3 days, and missing alot of the squad, and Leeds play crazy pressing like Liverpool.

I'm not just "Oh City should win everything no matter what, fuck this I'm mad". I am considering our circumstances.

I agree, but if we would have got Messi he would have scored about 10 today! We need someone who can finish - desperately
 
Do you guys think us starting the season late had a negative impact on how we're playing?
 
Sterling had a chance to win that game for us but fluffed it. Mendy will take all the blame but KDB didn't have his best game either, he gave the ball away leading to quite a few counters for Leeds, all by not being aware of how much time/space he had. The passing was off all over the pitch at times too but perhaps credit has to be given to Leed's pressing, it's how Bielsa has them drilled.

We started well but dropped off after 25mins and gave Leeds time to grow into the game. We are not up to speed and it's hard to find rythm with all the changes that have been forced on the team. We need our strikers back, it's that simple. Every team would struggle without any fit strikers available... so give over with how much has been spent, it's irrelevant we have 2 strikers and 2 out injured.

Blame Pep all you like, we need our luck to change and fast or Liverpool will walk the league again. When was the last time VVD, Firmino and Mané were all unavailable for the same game?

Hard to say what’s going to happen with Covid, but the way Liverpool throw the cups means 90 points is minimum to have a shot of winning the league If they avoid Covid. We aren’t getting that.
 
No fkin urgency whatsoever, Mahrez fkin ambling off when subbed, Walker taking an age to throw the fkin ball into play.

Mendy is trying my fkin patience big time..

We can't win every game but the least we can do is look at though we're fkin interested for a start..!
 
When Chelsea had that random season where they plummeted to 10th after winning the league the year before... that is the kind of thing that can happen to us this year, just not as extreme. Anywhere from 2nd to 8th is possible for us.

receives a ball off kev who broke from our defence with a 30 yrd sprint then knocks it 30 yrds in front for kev to run after and says there you go, iv played my part.
Mahrez fuck off to spain if the prem is too physical for you.
Buy a LB city and forward who isnt a fuckin WINGER

It didn’t last year either. Same excuses oh Rodri needs a year. Mendy needs games. They both need dropping.

Rodri is the single most overrated player at the club.

Loses every single battle on the pitch, positionally poor, switches off regularly, zero pace or strength, poor in the challenge. Can't think of one thing he does particularly well besides playing if safe sideways constantly, and the occasional pass.

Really fucking frustrating. Not fit to lace Fernadinho's boots.

Rodri was the best player on the park today.
 
Phew. Pretty mad match that. Great start, then lost control for most of the rest of the 1st half. 2nd half, poor start but finished well. Dias and Laporte looked quite solid, it was the carnage on either side of them at times that nearly did for us.
KDB started off well but then had an average game by his standards. Likewise Raz. The ease with which teams get from the edge of their own box into ours with zip all interference from our midfield is worrying.
Gritty point.
