What utter tosh that Pep wants it more than anybody, works harder than anybody...
It's a nice dream, but has absolutely no substance to it at all.

I don't doubt he wants to win the title again, or that he works hard, but this 'more than anybody' crap is just romantic rhetoric. He'll be off soon, and wanting to win with some other club.

They can play well - like West Ham can when they're on song. Watch Leeds though and you'll find a Kevin Keegan type naïveté in how they want to play.

Their style will get them plenty of points to stay up prob evem top half, - but against antone decent who knows what they're doing they will be torn apart defensively.

Today thìs was our undoing. Without a striker, we didn't really know what to do up front - and so had tonnes of 'nearly' breaks without any final output.

Criminal oversight by Pep imho (in nit changingto take advantageof the masses of space in the middle) - game was there for the taking.

Yep, golden boy Phil kept losing it in midfield and leaving us open to the counter.
 
We've had a few seasons of beautiful football after a first season where teams knew how to play against us and do us on the break.

It feels like after Leicester last game and a lot of last season either teams have found us out again. Or we've not found another way to play.


We could concentrate on being great defensively but they'll sit back it will be 0 0. But then with our quality could we not do that (sit back) yet still have the quality to score goals whereas these teams won't be able to get past our defense?


That's got to be better than sacrificing the defence in order to provide the attack with extra help when what usually happens is if we don't score then we let goals in.


I don't know what the answer is but I feel like the current attempt to find out hasn't worked all last season and isn't looking like it's going to work this one either.

It's football so no it's not the end of the world. But things are wrong and have been for a while but I'm getting all positive now.

Despite what I see with my own eyes I'm convinced we will close the gap overcome candlepool and this year perform in Europe.. pep will show us the way.

I believe brother.
 
Never a corner for there goal. Changing a rule in an ongoing season is a farce.. so its a pen one week and not the other.. also pen on sterling after. Ignored red at the end.. There not even hiding it.

Uncharacteristic error ?. You mean becoming more common, fumbled one into the path of a Lyon player when he should of caught the ball, Southampton away. There racking up mate.
 
Every game same pattern - 1st 20 minutes boss the game but don’t kill it off - can’t keep tempo up and let opponents back into game - we have lost club legends to retirement and I’m not sure if Pep has actually ever built his own team - had the Barcelona midfield come through the academy and Bayern already had world class players when he took over - same when he first came to City he had the nucleus but now he has been asked to replace players is he up to it ?
 
It was like Mahrez had some sort of magnet that repelled him away from the ball, when we were breaking he was nowhere near the play, when Leeds were breaking he was nowhere to be seen in our half either. A rare talent.

Not sure if the team are unfit or just can't be arsed. There was one point where Leeds broke and it was 4 v 4, there was about 20 - 30 secs after they broke and there was still no sign of any of our midfield getting back to help.

After the first 20 mins, Foden was anonymous, KBD had a poor game, Torres didn't offer much but it was his first game. Mahrez was lazy and offered nothing.

I don't think Mendy was as bad as some on here are making out. He did OK for me but was a bit silly for his booking.

Ederson made some good saves, but made a mistake which cost us the goal.

Not sure why Pep was so happy at the end. He should have been raging at the effort of some of the players.

Not sure why we only seem able to play for 25 mins at the start games at the moment.

Positives. Great goal from Sterling. We looked better after the substitutions.

Teams who challenge for the league win games against promoted teams. That's not being entitled at all.
Unless you are simple and don't understand what entitled means. Then I understand where you're coming from

Ok but seriously if you've played football at any level, you see thats a bad one immediately.
Now i know theres biased against us, but don't fucking show it by allowing those sort of challenges go
