That's incredible if they've lost almost half of their last twenty. I look forward to the headlines such as "Has Klopp lost the plot?" and "Liverpool in Crisis!"

Was 0-0 with Chelsea as well before they went down to 10 after a Chelsea defender decided to wrestle Mane to the floor. No guarantee they would have won without the sending off.

Make was always gonna be a big miss for them. He's been on fire lately and done the work of 3 players . Shame hell only miss 1 game

And the same could be said for the dippers, they've been buying into the media myth that Vain Dick is some kind of Colossus in the world of defenders - he isn't. He is a capable defender, no more. But with typical Scouse arrogance they won't see it.

So of the two, I think the rags are the least likely to be able to dust themselves off, get up, and have another go. The dippers arrogance will see them get over their mauling from yesterday, the rags are way too far below the mediocrity line to be able to just shrug their collective shoulders and try again.

I've not been impressed with them since lockdown and there first 3 games didn't alter that opinion even though they got the wins. They aren't as good as many on here like to tell us, they have strengths and weaknesses like everybody.

In deference to the last handful of goalies following a Liverpool reverse, YNWA is being replaced as a club dirge, sorry, anthem. The Dippers will now tear arse onto the hallowed turf of Anfield to a rousing rendition by Bootle Brass Band of the title music track of that cowboy film Yul Brynner was in. What was it called? The Magnficent summat or other. I think it has a number in the title.

Villa set out their plan and stuck to it, and on another day could (and should) have had 10. They were easily the better team and tore Liverpools defence apart.

But.. this was a very very rare day in which ref decisions went against the scousers. On a "normal day" that Salah dive would have been given as a pen, and at least one Villa goal (free kick one comes to mind) would have been flagged offside (incorrectly in my op as nowt was wrong with it). But given they've had favourable decisions for a while now, that would have put them at 1-1 (assuming they bag the pen) and could have pushed on from there.

We'll see if it continues but its the scouse Derby next and I'd be shocked if there were no debatable decisions that were beneficial to them (one game does not a season make)
 
Pundits on both sky and the bbc mentioned thay villa have shown how to nullify and attack the dippers...sit deep, block passing lanes and counter the high line with a high through ball played behind the supposef best back four in all of football

It was only a matter of time that klopp and his style would get found out. It was good to hear the pundits talk about that as well.

Even the villa players and manager stated they prepared well to both stop and attack liverpool

Lets now hope that the rest of the league do this.

As some of us mentioned towards the enf of last season, the scousers are going to have to face teams that will try harder against them & do what villa did last night
