Hope so.Deja vu this thread once again. Claims that he’s finished will be proven wrong as they have been the multiple other times it’s been said on here.
The injuries are always a concern, his age makes it even more so, but, once he’s back on the pitch and doing what he does best the voices will die down and he’ll be lauded as the best in the business once again.
He needs replacing soon, no arguments there, and ideally we’d have brought somebody in this season to challenge. I’ve no doubts whatsoever though that his story isn’t over and he’s plenty of glorious moments left in him.
And is any good, like who for instance? We should have got someone in on loan or a free short term who will be happy with limited time once Aguero and Jesus are fit.
Good news.
Yep, I’m inclined to believe we have somebody lined up who can fill his huge boots but a deal can’t be done just yet for one reason or another.Hope so.
I also hope we have a striker in mind to replace him.
It would make sense in every respect. We clearly aren't just doing nothing.Yep, I’m inclined to believe we have somebody lined up who can fill his huge boots but a deal can’t be done just yet for one reason or another.
That’s why we are waiting I think. It’s going to be a big one and wasting money on a short term fix makes no sense, hence the reason we are willing to go with what we have.
Could well be wrong, mind, but it’s what I’m leaning towards.
Well you live up to your user name. Last season we scored 149 goals in all competitions, one of the highest totals in English football history just behind our own records in 2014, 2018 and 2019. Three of the team scored over 20 goals including Sterling who got 31. You have been watching the fake news media too much. No way are you a City fan.Disgraceful having spent over £400,000 000 on defenders.
We have **STILL** even now have not brought in a 20 + Goals a season striker.Just to replace players gone.
Yet Tixi seemingly would have had no trouble mustering up £100,000 000 for 34 year old Messi.
Lets be honest this Man has been an abject failure as DOF.
His job was to make transitional seasons a thing of the past, redundant.
Sourcing and replacing aging players well in advance.
Look at the state of us ffs.
Said it yesterday if it had not been for all Mancini signings ,the last few years of success would not have happened. Now they have all aged, and moved on.We are relying solely on Tixi/Pep signings. And they look a million miles away from those players.
It is not ridiculous. As I said we treat our players properly and Sergio decides when he leaves. The problem is that we won’t be paying £100 million plus for a forward to come in and play second fiddle.Come on now that is just ridiculous. How can we blame players for our lack of transfer activity because they have set a bar that is difficult to fill or because they won't apparently just do the right thing and go? (which seems to be what people are asking for) We offered them renewals, don't forget that.
And is any good, like who for instance?
Personally I hope we're not thinking of Mbappe, who is reported to be leaving PSG next summer? He's got a bad attitude, don't trust him.Yep, I’m inclined to believe we have somebody lined up who can fill his huge boots but a deal can’t be done just yet for one reason or another.

You say an average striker should do a job, but those chances we create and miss are missed by far from average players, in Sterling Jesus and including Aguero sometimes. That's the big question. I would have said Cavani as he's always caused us problems but the figures the rags are supposed to be paying are eye watering.
We normally create a fair few chances even if we play badly so even an average striker should do a job.

HmmmThe beauty of is, when he gets injured again, Jesus will be back.
