He’s absolute quality. I thought he was overrated but he’s proved me completely wrong.

Put it this way If someone told me now that in 2023 he would be up for the Ballon’dor I wouldn’t laugh at them.. as he might be. Said that to me a few years back and I would have called for the men with the white coats.

Yep agreed. Gets a lot of stick for his off the field stuff. I'm not really that arsed if he's not out 8 hours a day helping old grannys cross the road and carrying their shopping. He's class to watch and that's the main thing for me.
 
Twatterface has just mentioned Harry Winks. I've just checked the BBC website and he's been on the pitch the whole game. Never even realised the Lingard tribute act was playing tonight

I actually think there is a lot to admire about him personality wise. Loves villa and seems very loyal. Yeah made a few mistakes when he was young but he seems dedicated where it matters.. on the field. Always felt that like he’s been picked on a little by the gutter press much like Sterling.. obviously less so than Raz as he’s white.. but still profiled as a bad boy.

Nobody would love to see England be successful more than me. The only negative is the way the media blow smoke up.certain players arses and slate other players, Sterling being one. The match going England fans are at times a disgrace the way they get on players they don't like backs. We are critical online. That first half was absolutely dire, tactically, individually and collectively. Anyone saying it wasn't is a happy clapper of the highest order.
