If your main gripe is gyms potentially being made to close, then in the scheme of things, that is small beer imo.
Perhaps having a month halt on nice leisure activities to keep infections at a tolerable level whilst it spreads through schools and unis on the only real basis to moving forward being that once the initial outbreaks have subsided in these institutions, the infection rate will drop and then we can tolerate the increased infections from leisure activities. Take the edge off the big hit so to speak.

They do have an obligation in keeping the local councils and population informed. They could also explain why safe Tory seats with infection rates way higher than the infection rate when Greater Manchester was placed into special measures seem to be exempt . They could also explain why only now are they willing to give local health authorities with relevant expertise in track and trace the chance to get involved, or why they have wasted billions on lining the pockets of Serco and others who have fucked everything they touch up . Or maybe they could explain why multi million pound contracts have been awarded to companies with fuck all experience in delivering anything they are contracted to do , probably just a coincidence that most of these new start ups are run by mates and Tory party donors . The Government are not taking measures for shits and giggles, nor to piss the North of England off.
They have no obligation to detail to the nth degree as to why and what constraints are deened necessary in trying to reverse the trend, nor do I believe it would be accepted by some.
