Arsenal (H) Post match thread

First half i thought we should have swapped Foden and Sterlings positions as Sterling was always the free man in the middle but he isnt good enough technically to control the ball and turn like David SIlva used to. After a very turgud opening 20 minutes we got on the front foot and looked excellent, really we should have scored again and put the game to bed.

Arsenal look a good team and should definitely get top four this season, Arteta has got finally made them hard to beat.

Dias already looking the part.Hate making comparisons to any Rag players,but Dias reminds me of Vidic. Just has an air about him,and a real presence.I know it is only 2 games in,but sometimes you just know with players,he is one of them.
 
Excellent performance today from everyone. arteta has now got the Arse playing good and we controlled them very well. A very technical game and we shone well.

Happy with the result but i’ll be happier once the fitness and conditioning kicks in.

Some clever game management from Pep but we’ve see those go either way.

Great defensive performance - a clean sheet without Laporte!

Cancelo or Ake ahead of Mendy every time now please. Diaz looks rock solid but a special mention for Walker tonight who was everywhere with clearances, tackles and a solid defensive header out near the end.
 
Pretty solid, with all the injuries before i knew about la porte i thought we might struggle, however i think we were Pretty solid, well done pep on the line up, ake looks a player, diaz has the look of vinny about him, raheem was excellent, walker also, good to see Sergio back and getting games into his little bow legs, but big up to Bernardo, him and kev should be our midfielders imo, well chuffed with that
 
Best back line is probably Ake, Laporte, Dias & Walker.

No Laporte tonight but Dias and Ake were great at the back. A midfield with Bernie and Kevin or Foden will help with pressing and reduce the pressure on the defence.

Hard fought win. Attacking threat was so-so but the lads dug in.
 
Huge win considering other results today. According to Tyler we aren’t used to keeping clean sheets, remind me who golden gloves last season. He and Neville desperate for Arsenal to score. Dias looks impressive and I take back what I said about Ake not being good enough. Definitely the best defensive left back at the club. Dias excellent and great to see Bernardo getting his mojo back. Solid performance against an Arsenal side that is better than last season and all without KDB, Jesus, Eric etc. We are getting fitter and will hit our stride soon. And why no penalty on Silva? Rodri getting booked early nullified his impact in much the same way teams looked to get Ferny booked early. Needs to be cuter.
 
Tough game with a lethargic performance but good result. Defenders, Midfield and Ederson performed. The attack was shockingly toothless without Kevin.
 
Crap game, great result. Very important three points especially with scousers and Chelsea dropping points.
 
Wonder if Rat face & senator Palpatine give us any credit for doing exactly what they said we couldn’t do all second half, they where willing an equaliser & Arsenal never laid a glove on us....come on fellas the silence is deafening
 
A great 3 points and will give the players confidence doing it without KDB
