Arsenal (H) Post match thread

Since Micah has been on as a pundit I get a very clear impression that he has either been told - or decided for himself - that for it to be a long term gig there must be absolutely no evidence of bias towards CITY. Indeed, he seems to go the extra mile in being 'objective'.
For sky he follows their script on us , same with the mail gig he has , much more relaxed and honest on the bbc

He can fuck off with his comments on sergio yesterday , he as good as hung him to the social media and news channels

Solid game overall. Dias is a monster. Gundo gave us control when he came on, glad he and Kun are back. Cancelo has great attaching skill. Wasted some chances but it's all good. Eddy made some cool saves in the first half. Ake is such a strong versatile player.

With Dias, Cancelo and Bernardo we need a new song "Portuguese blues". I think all three will be crucial this year.
Well said you on Gundo, instead of toeing the sheep’s scapegoat line and just dismissing him. He covered a lot of ground and worked hard and was a key part of our very string finish to the game.

Went down holding his face when he attempted to gain an advantage by running into Cancelo, that should have seen him receive a caution - of course,it didn't......
He's had years and years of getting those kind of ridiculous decisions at his previous club. It's the Celtc way.

Missed it karen what did he say about Sergio..

Rodri was superb last night. I really don’t get some of the stick he gets on here
Because this is a common theme, everyone is happy when we win. Look at his performances last season and Vs Leicester for example. Can’t just ignore all the bad stuff cause he played well (which yes he definitely did)

But that’s what I don’t get. Yeah he has bad games, every player has bad games.. but he is never as bad as some people try to make out.. nowhere near as bad

He's slow and if he gets bypassed he's done often leading to a good chance for the opposition. He's not a bad player but lacking as a DM because of this.

Which is exactly the same criticism that can be aimed at Gundogan, only to an even greater degree. This is why whichever of the two is chosen,it's imperative our other forwards also contribute by putting themselves about, and defending from the front.

We missed a trick by allowing the Dippers to buy Fabinho,he is much more complete as a DM.

It's imperative that they do this, even if we went out and got a 27 year old Dihno with Sane's speed. Our whole game is predicated on pressure from our forwards.

Without question, but my point is.....with a less athletic DM,the need takes on an even greater emphasis.

You have to wonder if he’d done that to a male Line-runner would there be this many outraged people?

very sexist behavior really.

I think both Rodri and Gundoghan are very important players.
They serve as easy prey for those that love a simplistic analysis of the game.

I love the way mistruths are so readily taken on as fact by some souls, who have little to say between ffs, and goat.

Anyone notice that we were the only team to win at home in this weekends games ?

6 draws, and 3 away wins.

This seems to have become quite a common theme in the top leagues since there were no fans.

Gundogan might play slower football, but he is a quick player in a leg race.

Which is exactly the reason we will never see Vinnie as a pundit , he has integrity.
When you work as a pundit, you forfeit the right to cheerlead for your team - albeit JC, SM are always saying 'We this, We that' because they're crap pundits. Micah is developing into a top pundit. He'll stop some of the usual crap speculation often aimed at us when we had few City pundits.
