I've had trumps more dynamic than Rodri and Gundogan.

The drop off when Kev is out is frightening.

Bloody good result that.

It's far too simplistic to put this on Kev being injured, we have put in similar performances with him starting.

Tonight we had a not match fit Aguero and Gundogan, a third choice left back and centre back and the fact that the squad has had no pre-season.

We just need to make it through the next 2-3 weeks when some players should be back from injury and the rest should be much closer to their usual level.

Oh dear . Looks like this is last season for pep

Edit: was being sarcastic here. But fans are going to take this well. Lol

That was an eventful second half and a thoroughly enjoyable game of football. I am actually not sure we were so poor or Porto's destructive game caused us to commit so many errors. First Arsenal and now this Porto side, we prevailed against two sides trying to prevent us playing any football at all. The fighting spirit is definitely back on and off the pitch and that makes me so happy. Finally Pep didn't cast a forlorn figure on the touchline, I loved it how he hand-gesticulated like calming down the situation and telling Conceicao to sod off.
Decoupling of Gundo and Rodri definitely worked and both were much more efficient which improved our game both defensively and offensively.
Cancelo and Sterling had horrible personal stats, Raheem tried five dribblings and lost all of them. Cancelo although improving massively, still had too many passes going nowhere.
On the other side, Walker is just going from strength to strength, thank you agent Southgate. He is just immense this season. And that boy Eric didn't put a foot wrong, no matter how unhappy he is with his current status, committed 100%.

I know he's not fast, a bit lacking in the tackle, and not very good in the air but he reads the game so well and has got a better passing range than Harry Winks.
He's not going to be a centre half in England unless he undergoes a massive physical transformation. He could be a 6 though.
