Not sure if it’s already been said but after watching the performance of UEFA officials being taken in by Porto’s constant diving, I’d ditch the UEFA CL & sign up for the FIFA European league where we’ll have more influence & no bias against us.

Our situation with UEFA has not improved at all

I think Rodri's 'problem' is operating in tight spaces, give a middle of the pitch to him alone and he is a much better football player, As soon as Gundo was moved slightly to the left, the whole thing looked much better.
And just to piss off the usual suspects here , Eric was very good, the second half particularly, he was snuffing out anything Porto were trying to do on his left and I hope Pep succeeds in the project 'Persuade Eric'.

I remember Mahrez telling Leicester he wanted to leave the club.
Did any of us care whether we were buying someone who did something similar to what Garcia is doing now. I personally don't like it but it seems to be a common enough occurrence

Copied from soccer report
However, after a season of mediocrity (certainly domestically if not on a European front), the winger had decided it was time to find a fresh challenge.

“Out of the huge admiration and respect I hold for Leicester City Football Club I wanted to be totally honest and transparent with them and have therefore informed the club that I feel now is the time for me to move on,” Mahrez said

Good result overall.
It seems after struggling last against teams lining up defensively against esp. teams denying us space in middle pep seems to have set his mind on playing 3-4-3.
This allows our attacking players space on the inside in front the back 4 and the inside channel but tradeoff is some player have to play out of position
But raheem is wasted, he not a eden hazard who who can play in the middle take the ball on the half turn and dribble and create chances , raheem needs space to attack space and apart from his goals his contribution has suffered.Mahrez has to play deep as a wingback some times when midfielder on his side is higher up the pitch.

I don't hate him. I just think he's a shit defender. Stones is a better option in defence.

I bet Garcia became a shit defender on the very day he announced he didn’t want to extend with us.

That’s logic for some people.

I hope Eric can stay. Rate him above Stones and always did.

Good solid performance.

OK, so we struggled to break them down in the first half, but apart from the goal, they hardly showed any threat.

Sergio took his penalty well, at least by his standards ;-), but the second and third goals were of the highest quality. Ilkay's free-kick was beautiful and Ferrán's strike was brilliant. It resulted from fantastic interplay between two 20 year-olds, Torres and Phil Foden. The future is bright; the future is Sky Blue.

The only downside to the evening was the injury to Fernandinho. It’s a bloody shame that we have another player out for weeks.

Onward and upward. I’m looking forward to the game on Saturday.

Glad to see us grinding out wins when not playing that well. Their goal was hideous from a defensive perspective but we came back well and the 2nd half was much better. Job done. 2 Wins on the run. Still work to do and more graft needed over the next few weeks with big players missing but pleasing results tonight.

Strange game tonight. Not much happening up front, even less in the middle and a defence that was solid one side and shaky on the other. We gave the ball away far too much with suicidal crossfield balls that a sharper attack would've pounced on.
Once Guardiola decided to up the tempo with Foden on for Gundoghan we were a different team.
