Of course - but not sure:

a) why you use it and

b) what substances that fella use in the day;-)

Google being your friend I see
So...........

Are we back to some form of suggestions that Brexiteers are uneducated/thick etc?

Hmm - you playing a victim card now? Only I never said anything of the sort. Why the need to keep suggesting people who haven't said you are somehow thick have done so?

There seemed to be some inference - can you not see it?

Perhaps it was not your intention to suggest that I would not know the source of that quote without googling it - it just came across that way from what you posted - otherwise - why did you post it?

And - even if another poster on here did not readily know the source of the quote and googled it - why would you post a disparaging comment?

Sometimes - I very humbly suggest - perhaps you should think before clicking the post reply tab

I forgot that you were a waste of time. Many thanks for reminding me.

Let me be clear - to those involved in this current exchange......

My comments about supporting the UK are not aimed at you guys/ladies

There is though a cadre of Remainers - what some would call 'ultras' - that absolutely and clearly do place more importance on winning a debate on a football forum as more important than the outcome of the negotiations reflecting a good outcome for the UK

So - my apologies if my comments seemed more general - but the thread is dominated by a small group of Remainers that fit this description - hence my posts in that vein

In general though - for those that are not part of the pack - I suggest that you don't let their negativity inappropriately pollute your own thinking.

We will be living with the consequences of the outcomes of these negotiations for many years - this is not some Tory/Johnson thing - this is about the future of the UK

Let's all fuck of Johnson in 4 years - but let's all hope for a positive outcome from the negotiations in 2020/21 - because an incoming Labour government - will be better able to implement its policies if that is the case

Don't let the ultras poison your objectivity
Blaming critics of Brexit for their predictions coming true.

I’m sure it’s a coincidence but our standing in the export table declines dramatically from 2016. Project Fear no doubt

That has UK exports at $467bn for 2019 when the actual figure is £689bn. Try to stick to facts rather than made up nonsense on Twitter.

Twitter is the font of all knowledge, in the eyes of many. That it gets everything wrong doesn’t appear to affect its adherents.

If only some did not feel the compulsion to bring it onto here

Away from twitter - in this article there is news of French leaders commenting on French access to the UK's fishing territory after this year. Interestingly the words compromise and concessions are used:

I am tempted to remind the thread of a prediction that I have previously made

You are doing that thing again - where you twist the words of others

I have not been commenting on the Remainer predictions - which have so far largely been proven to have been nonsense anyway

I have been commenting on some Remainers seeming to not hope for good outcomes for the UK from the current negotiations

Give us an example of a Remainer "seeming to not hope for good outcomes". That sounds very much like you're twisting words.

The prediction was always right, and it’s looking like fishing, long derided and ridiculed, is the sticking point. No deal, and the French suffer, they will compromise, imo, but we wait and see.

No deal and everyone suffers.

We're pursuing a theory at the expense of reality.

The theory is that we would expand the UK deep sea fishing fleet if we keep EU boats out of our waters. The fleet has been declining for centuries, not just the years in the EU. We can't expand it without foreign boats and foreign crews (because we already need foreign crews to make up for the lack of Brits willing to do it).

The reality is that our export trade (shellfish particularly) - with real current jobs at stake - would lose competitiveness if tariffs are applied, on top of the cost of customs red tape and the possibility of fatal delays at ports (i.e. the shellfish die en route), on top of low demand because Brits, and others, aren't going on holiday in the EU where they eat British shellfish (and half the continent isn't eating out at all).

Without a deal, EU fishermen go out of business, UK fishermen go out of business, there is less fish caught and sold, and it's obvious what this has to do the price of fish. We all pay more.

Good spot.
Looks like the stats relate to goods only and not services.

The figures seem to be fairly accurate on that basis and demonstrate the relative decline of manufacturing compared to other countries over the last few years.

In other words it’s not made up nonsense.

One man's inference is another man's twisting words.

The title is worlds largest exporters, not worlds largest goods exporters. It was then linked to the referendum.

“The UK has now experienced 45 consecutive months of annual export growth on a rolling annual basis.”

It is nonsense, made up or not.

I’m not arguing it wasn’t misleading, but once you know what it illustrates you can’t call it nonsense, and in reality it’s goods exports that are more relevant to the the population of the north. As to its linkage to the referendum, it was just a factual observation that compared to other countries the data illustrates a relative decline.

You are doing that thing again - where you talk about the specific detail of (in this case the size of the UK deep sea fishing fleet) - in a way that shows that you do not understand the 'reality' of the wider negotiations and the role that the fishing industry can be further used to the UK's advantage

In particular you are reinforcing that you cannot grasp the reasons why a 3 year transition deal would be the better outcome

You would be best off giving up on the topic of fishing in these negotiations I suggest
