I am glad the BBC managed to squeeze in an interview with Tao GH after his win in the Giro. It makes a change for the Beeb to have a good news story that doesn’t feature the rags, Dipperpool or Captain Tom

At no point did I say lockdown completely, I actually agree with you that there needs to be a balance as the economy is as important. I am just pissed off that people flaunt the rules or have no self discipline when it comes to wearing a face mask I mean how difficult is it.
So why say I’m one of them with no knowledge of me whatsoever?

Ventured to the pub (yesterday) for the first time in a couple of weeks to enjoy a few Guinnesses. It was fairly quiet and the rules were enforced. A new Brewdog is opening on Friday and I’m booked on a table but might give it a miss if it’s too rammed.

I heard a psychologist on the radio saying it’s very important to get out of the house when you can, without taking unnecessary risks. That sounds like a plan.

ive a feeling its been put out to frighten people to have the vaccine.ill have it by the way.just seems a bit suspicious

thats just paranoid delusion

the researchers are well respected in their field.
The body of research the that Paul Elliot has produced is outstanding.
Its just facts
As the other researchers quoted point out its not definitive but does point to a loss of immunity in a short period of time. More research is needed.

If they had delayed publication for six months say, for whatever reason I am guessing you would have asked "why the delay? what are they trying to hide? seems a a bit suspicious, are they trying to frighten us in to taking the vaccine"

In Pune, India researchers sampled the blood of over 1,600 people and over 50% had antibodies.

This ends with herd immunity but the point is we want to acquire it through exposure to vaccines and not infection.

"Around 140 people have tested positive for coronavirus at a Norfolk meat processing factory."
Norfolk County Council said there had been a “significant outbreak” of Covid-19 at the Cranswick Country Foods site in Watton.

I think i have asked this question before, but have we found any links to meat transfering the virus?

Bernard Matthews turkey plant last week, countless other throughout the year.
There has to be some link, even if it just workers in a confined space.

Could be the 'cold' conditions inside or as you say meat related...I'd suspect it's shit hygiene personally.

little or no covid safe practices or social distancing at the workplace. Many east european workers living together in cramped housing to save money and being bussed in by the companies.

HSE doing nothing proactive in inspecting and shutting these places down as they should be.

Don't forget ideal temperatures for the virus and lots of hard shiny (stainless steel) surfaces.

Nail on the head

Would also ask how much these Eastern European communities living & working together understand all the rules and nuances as they keep changing - it’s really hard for British people who and a conscious effort to keep up, so likely that the messaging gets further lost among people of a different native language who aren’t as engaged with British news or politicians

Like you say, they’re the full responsibility of these companies in a situation like this

Not just these stats. They cannot even provide us with their theory linking these cases to super spreading events or indeed any proof at all.
Common sense says if there is a curfew then when the places empty new case events will occur.
Common sense also says that people who want to meet someone in a pub and can't then they will meet each other in each others homes they are more likely to pass the disease on than in an environment that is structured to reduce transmission like a pub WITH table service and having to wear a mask when you get up from your seat.
Like with their reluctance on masks to see the Common sense of it. They are effing clueless.
The rule of six is also probably a waste of time as research is starting to show.
If 80% of cases come from supersread events then limit numbers in places and limit the number if different places a person can visit in a day to slow the spread.
But no - Dr Gloom and Mr Doom think enjoyment is the root of all evil.
Oh and if the evidence existed I wouldn't be having a pop.
Science is all about theory backed by evidence. They have a set of theories but no evidence to back them up. They got it so wrong with masks at the start that my faith in their pronouncements is reducing with each day they fail to produce the evidence.
agree with most of your comments. The effectiveness of masks is still not really proven in practice as PPE worn incorrectly or handled badly makes matters worse. For me i have come to the conclusion that regular hand washing and distancing are the only guards we have but to distance using these punitive lockdowns/firebreaks/ circuit breaker bollocks is doing more damage than good. More people will die from other conditions and more will suffer from long lasting effects than COVID 19. The longer it continues the more it highlights the tunnel vision of those making decisions . Including scientists
