Just sent this to BT, for what good it will do

I am getting pretty fed up with BT coverage of Manchester City on CL games, in fact all games but my example relates to this evenings game v Marseille. Please explain why your commentators and pundits have to add a price tag to every City player they talk about? This evening was Cancello at £60m, followed up with. That's a lot for a substitute. Why do they have to make comment about how much we have spent on defenders without doing some research first. However when United or Liverpool play there is an absence of the financial details paid for players in their match commentaries. Will you be pointing out tomorrow that Pogba cost 90m? Do they think that's a lot for a substitute? Will they be saying that's a great tackle by 80m Maguire, the former being unlikely. Did they mention the cost of 75m Alison missing for Liverpool tonight? I know they mentioned the recently departed Virgil VD tonight but they didnt mention his transfer fee? There is a bias with both BT and Sky to ensure that City are the biggest spenders ever in world football, that they break transfer records everytime they spend and it's a myth not helped by your biased commentary. Chelsea dont get our treatment yet they spent fortunes this summer and in previous years. Your darlings in red at both ends of the East Lancs dont get this treatment despite being the ones who regularly break transfer records. These myths are perpetuated by BT and they are inaccurate and misleading and whilst being probably unconscious they perpetuate the myth which is wholly inaccurate and you need to balance out your reporting by either naming all players, from all clubs along with their fees and especially if it's a world record fee, or just use their name and concentrate on commentating on the game.
Great post and absolutely bang on mate...

Well said mate. We have to take these cunts on.

Would the PL manipulate a title chase that brings in the most money in a season where the lack of matchday revenue needs to be made up by another huge foreign TV money deal?

The rags are now back at their best ready to challenge the mighty dips for the title races to end all title races.

The PR goons are hitting the vinegar stroke already.
The PR goons and their mates in the media are playing a big part in modern and future of football.
Our PR wallahs aren't even reactive let alone proactive.

You gotta laugh at Burnham trying to get Rashford the BBC Sports Personality award.

Apparently there hasn't been a footballer in recent years who has done so much for his wider community.

Obviously Vinny and his £3m gift to the homeless of Manchester didn't grease the right palms at the Town Hall...

Don't you mean Sports Politician of the year.

Dont forget the year we got to the semi final and BT sent out a flyer advertising the semi finals and it featured only 3 of the 4 teams on the flyer. We of course were not mentioned at all on it and BT apologised for the "error"
I got a junk mail post card with my name on entreating me to get Sky to watch those three teams. The CEO at the time was foolish enough to give his e mail and foolish enough to enter into a correspondence with me. Easy meat but he was in a weak position and in the end i got a call from his duty PR officer who seemed a bit embarrassed being put into that position.
Oh his Wiki entry proudly boasted he was a Liverpool fan from Warrington.

Even though Utd's first goal looked offside and was allowed to stand both the commentators said “we’ll take it”. I somehow suspect that if it had been us they would have showed it over and over again to prove that the goal should have been ruled out.

It was shocking to hear and by saying that it had subliminally racist undertones given the nature of the competition they were commentating on.

Fucking sky sports news. One big rag advert every fucking day. And that's with the sound off and not even watching it. I mean fucking hell, been showing their goals from 20 fucking years ago in their 'rag piece pre-match. Then we the Rashford fucking petition (good on the lad) popping in every 20 mins. Fuckoff bastards, i'm glad i nick your 'product'

Yellow ticker tape on sky sports news saying the candidate for the Barca president wants pep back.
Let's see how long they have it on for.
He said he wanted the old players back then listed Pep as well as Iniesta, Puyol and some others. Sky have managed to twist his words in record time and now they're gospel.
