TV Series

About to finish the final season of The 100. Much better than I expected. Well worth watching.
To each their own. I thought it had started well with a good premise in the first seasons but as it went on I liked it less and less to the point of loathing. I should have stopped way earlier tbh; when you realise the only thing you find fun in a show is picking on its flaws it means you shouldn't watch it.
Glad you enjoyed it though, most of the times it really is just a matter of personal taste.

I watched The Boys and The Terror (season 1) in quick succession by the way, and I recommend them both for different reasons.
It was also sad to hear that they decided to cancel Mindhunter.

Has anyone watched truth seekers yet? I fancy giving it a go, I usually like simonpegg/nick frost stuff

Downloa..
Steali...

Buying it from an official source right now.
I think it's on amazon prime, will start it next few days hopefully, just hoping it's good and I won't be disappointed and was wondering if any of the experts on here had viewed and reviewed it yet

I’m making my way through Spaced on Netflix.

If you like Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World’s End, you’re bound to enjoy this. Edgar Wright should make more films.

"To the lake", dubbed Russian, but doesn't bother me , eyesight's shit, really enjoyed this, but I generally tend to like all those "survival after a plague" etc etc type stuff anyway.

Bonus :- nudity is decent.

When the best thing about it is a green puppet, you've got problems...

Finished first episode, very disappointing. Series remains spectacle driven rather than story based but this is consistent for Favreau

Olyphant reminded me I miss early Justified

Just started this and looks promising. Very topical as well so grabbed my interest.

I hadn't seen the Mindhunter news - a real shame. Although at least it appears to have been to some extent Fincher's decision (or maybe being such a big name he's allowed to bow out gracefully). Given his reputation for spending huge sums (House of Cards looked stunning, but how the hell he managed to make it one of the most expensive TV shows ever made when it's mostly people standing around in contemporary locations is beyond me), you can see why something that's quite slow paced would struggle to hit Netflix targets.

Really disappointed about mindhunter, was looking forward to seeing the story develop and the story in Witchita. Suprised it got such low viewing figures as seemed so many people enjoyed it.

I read an interview with one of the producers of the show and it sounds like there is something not made public that precludes them from continuing atm - sounded personal rather than linked to ratings/finance. I think it'll come back if possible based on whatever the outcome of that issue might be

Yeah when you read the articles on it not coming back, they all kind of hint it’s not 100%, but just unlikely at the moment. Fingers crossed they eventually bring it back.

Just watched the 1s episode of this....it's a keeper.
Like this kind of stuff myself.

I started watching Utopia on Amazon Prime - it's a graphic novel conspiracy/dystopia story set in present time - it's very violent and might not appeal to many viewers.

I like the series so far (I've viewed 4 of the 8 episodes) - it's not extremely good - but it's worthwhile watching for me.

4 episodes into 'The Queens Gambit' and though wouldn't expect it to be my kind of thing im really enjoying it. About a young orphan girl who is a chess prodigy in the 60's. Bit random and totally fictional i think, but light hearted and good to watch.

Another series I just finished is Season 2 of The Boys on Amazon Prime - I liked it even more than Season 1 - a very enjoyable watch.

The series portrays extreme violence though - so it's not for all viewers.
