For clarity the school ages that are spreading the virus are ages 13+.
I just saw a teachers union representative saying one week in and one week learning from home by video link would dramatically reduce case numbers.
It isn't good enough senior schools have to close for 4 weeks.
They can only reopen as the union rep stated IF better hands/face/space takes place in school. As a teacher friend of mine tells me it is a nightmare as the kids just aren't following the rules.

I was just listening to someone from one of the teachers unions saying ALL schools should be closed & kids educated remotely. It's just not workable. Many people won't have the necessary IT and, speaking for myself, I work from home for around 10 hours a day meaning I can't supervise my 7 year old Niece who we are currently surrogate parents for.

They have to get the working from home message out loud and clear. Our business is basically just ignoring it despite everyone bar one person a day being able to work at home as was proved in March/April and May when our business ran perfectly well.

Even that isn't good enough to reduce the surge - to be absolutely blunt, senior schools have to close for 4 weeks.

Legalise the cane for a month. That'd teach them...

I rode my bike through Chorlton Water Park yesterday, and the parents had their kids dressed in Hallowe’en costumes and the play area was packed with all the parents stood together.

I reckon there were about 150 people in a small area no bigger than 150m²

Anyone thinking that Labour came up with the idea of a ‘circuit breaker’ are as thick as pig shit.
SAGE were the ones who offered this as a solution back in September.
The Tories decided to ignore it so Labour jumped on it as the panacea to the virus.
Had the Tories gone with it you can almost guarantee that Labour would have been against it like Burnham was when Manchester should have gone into Tier 3, ironically having argued for harsher measures in line with the Party for the weeks leading up to it.

party politics at it’s best
Ahh, I see. It was opposite day two weeks ago on opposite world, therefore it wasn't opposite any more, so opposite Burnham shouldn't have not said the opposite of what he didn't, because what we know now is that what we didn't know then is that what didn't happen couldn't have been in the future that isn't the imaginary opposite of what actually happened.

Honestly, I'd tell you to sort that shit out, it's embarrassing, but I'm used to seeing it everywhere now.

My kids primary is following it. The Head is shit hot on it and if you ain’t following it or wearing a mask, she basically tells you to move off the playground.

That’s a good question. What’s different now than last March? Clubs have developed a regime of regular testing but it’s going to seem strange when the whole country is in lockdown whilst football continues.

i think we will be a long way off the type of lockdown we had in March, can see this being some half arsed version of it.

It's all cheap politics...

Lockdown?
Circuit Breaker?
Firebreak?

Ffs a firebreak let's the fire burn mercilessly within the fire break parameters. We don't think there's much evidence of sending fire brigades into a firebreak area... they just let it burn.

I liked 'Reset button', as a term. You can use it in all sorts of situations.

Sick of waiting for his Bojesty to show, I'm hitting the reset button on my evening.
