Yes the cases in the UK do appear to have plateaued happily in most places over the past few weeks. I refer to it often in the reports on the three nations but it is seemingly apparent too in England - just bigger numbers mean higher totals.

Here are the numbers for the month of October in UK

DATE/ CASE NUMBER FOR UK/ TOTAL UK CASES - As you see we just topped one million!

In other words we have tested and traced one in 67 of the UK population having had Covid. The actual number who had it without being tested will be several times that, of course. Sobering numbers.

NB: The anomaly on 3 / 4 October was caused by the finding of a load of lost cases from a few days before that which were added on to the normal numbers. The jump between 6000 and 12,000/14.000 would have been a smoother climb through 8000,9000 etc over a few days had these been added onto the correct dates they apply to and not in one big pile.

So how many of the nobheads who attend illegal raves like last night are now in prison or even getting fines.? None I bet.
The Government express platitudes about how well the UK population are behaving but fact is a very large number totally ignore the whole mask ,face ,space etc because they know no one will do sod all and they will still be in and out of each others houses as per normal.
 
Just watched that BBC2 Trump and COVID-19 programme...far more powerful hearing about it first hand rather than from t'interweb.
These are the kind of programmes the 'plandemic' mob need to watch.
Some fair amount of corruption and fuck ups gone on there unfortunately (and rather unsurprisingly).

not meaning to criticise any of your previous work, but I find the above much easier to follow and track. Thanks for doing it that way.
 
Thank you but its not my work, Its the government statisticians.

I last did Maths at school and I have not made use of it in the many moons since then other than we all do day to day. That's about the sum of my knowledge.

No background or experience in this kind of subject or data presentation and my ability to use computers goes little beyond writing on them for many years. I am used to dealing in words, not numbers. And I was an early adopter of laptops simply because I could fly with one to Florida and write by the pool a book that I was behind schedule on delivering instead of doing so amidst a winter gale back here. ~

So I got hold of one as soon as this was a new thing 25 years ago.

However, I would not even now have a clue how to use programs that allow data presentation to be done clearly. I can just about do the simple things. I have to ask someone younger if I have a problem with tech.

When I was at school computers were the size of buildings or a villain in some science fiction film. The 'tech' I used then was no more sophisticated than a slide rule. And I suspect I would be bamboozled by that now, too, if I tried using one today.

So sorry but its words I know. not figures or how to make them easy to read.

8 bellends in the pub tonight sharing photos on social media. 8 individuals all from different households, pissed in the pub for about 5 or 6 hours, not a meal in sight, all sat together arms round each other

Anyone watch the documentary movie on BBC 2 - Totally Under Control?

Going to watch it now but I have seen good reviews of it and from first look at it before I decided to pay closer attention after signing off here it tells the story forensically of how the Trump administration dealt with Covid from the very start to a week or two ago.

And it appears to have chilling echoes of what happened here.

I expected something like this eventually but not so soon. As it obviously is not the full story.

At 2 hours its a long watch but will likely fascinate those on this thread.

Its been the focus in the North West along with Blackburn for most of the pandemic. These numbers are just higher because they are doing more tests. First in GM into the 1000s, 2000s, 3000s and now 4000s. Quite probably 5000s by mid November and 6000s by December unless the lockdown really works.

But other boroughs are not that far behind. Rochdale will top 4000 in 2 or 3 days. And Bolton and Manchester likely over the next week or so too.

So do not feel too concerned. Other than Trafford nowhere in GM is doing well and even their numbers are up from about 30 cases to about 150 in a few weeks.

Its all relative to the number of tests being done. And a lot are being done in the NW. Its like a self fulfilling prophecy to an extent. And other parts of the UK will follow as the Winter progresses.

Yeah I know bud been following your work for months, it's just that it's a shithole at the best of times but it'd be nice if it didn't stand out as such just once.

I'm not surprised, as for pubs, not been out for months on a session. Last couple of times were Wembley & a quiet pub for the first day of Cheltenham. Apart from that over the summer took Mrs Moon in 4 beer gardens midweek while out of the area for a drive 1 pint each time & the same at golf about 4 times with the lads, oh and 1 inside at Morecambe.

Done wonders for my belly as again not eaten out & takeaways now maybe once a month at the most rather than once a week.

Supermarkets seem better for masks, that being said with my wife being on the vulnerable list I'm in them at the crack of sparrows and end up getting annoyed with the fucking ignorant parents driving kids to the school behind my house causing chaos on the surrounding streets.

Pm me the pub please so when all this shit is over I don't go in it.

Am I surprised? No.
Still too high mind and the only way to bring the numbers down is to close high schools for a month.

Look at it this way , we have about five more months to get through till it easiest off and we have a vaccine or two and better treatments , a year in total of being inconvienced by a deadly virus spread all around the world, did you expect it would be over by now ? We have to make the best of a bad job and behave sensibly and protect each other ,sadly humans are set to be selfish

Look at your busnesses, can you diversify , claim every financial help going, do what you can

I am still on the side of the economy will recover, it always does

Life is not supposed to be easy or fair, you just have to ride it out

If we really wanted to save the NHS through the Winter, the places where spread and cases are highest would be closing, but they aren’t.

Don’t worry, there’ll be 40 lots of 30 children at 25,000 schools all mixing in classrooms for 25 hours a week with no masks from this morning again.

As bad as morons mixing like your example is, it’s nothing compared to schools.

It's a shit situation no doubt, but the local lockdowns were not working, so national lockdown was inevitable. We have to get a grip of this virus
