Just recently I posted that the hillbillies that hatched a plot to kidnap AOC were ‘fucking lunatics’ and that Trump did himself no favours with his 60 minutes interview. I said there’s no defending him on his bleach comments.

As I say, I’ve barely posted at all in either thread this year (a handful of posts in each, maybe 15 total posts) and probably 30% of them are criticising Trump, 30% criticising Biden. You’ll just carry on seeing what you want to see mate.

Can't entirely agree with that mate. You can be misinformed or, as last time, half the country, including many black and Hispanic voters, decided to vote for a non-politician.

I voted Brexit, don't have a racist bone in my body, yet the narrative was that anybody who did was subsequently a bigot or racist.

I went with my gut and what info I could try to understand, knowing I was voting with no sinister undertones.

People can be wrong, they don't need to be pigeon holed as racists. If anything, it puts backs up.

Therefore its not a stretch for other people to associate people who voted for brexit with racism. Its not right, but you have to understand where that comes from.

Voting for Brexit is not the same as voting for Trump. If you're voting for Trump, you're 100% undeniably voting for a racist.

We already know this, there's 30 years of well chronicled evidence backing it up, and look, just to make it easy, he's decided the best way to finish off his campaign is by using racist language to whip up islamaphobic fear with some lies.


No matter how much hand-wringing you do, voting for a racist to be president is saying you don't think racism is a bad character trait. It's saying you don't care that he's racist, or that he will implement more racist policies.

And at that point there's not much difference between you and a racist.

I know of 2 old friends that post racist shite on face book. Neither by the way are anything like they were face to face.
Both were Brexiteers, both ex-friends. I`ve told them both to stop sending me racist shite and fuck off.

I was chatting to a US colleague yesterday. He's appalled by Trump but cut the conversation short because he didn't want Trump supporting colleagues to overhear. My impression was low level abuse is the order of the day, nothing too bad but sufficient to make you want to keep quiet. This is a major blue chip company in a fairly liberal part of the country, not some redneck outfit in the deep south.

The unwritten rule when we go to the US with work is 'Don't talk politics'. It has got particularly heated in the past, so we just don't do it anymore.
