The Senate is not going to agree any economic stimulus that will make the Democrats look good. Republicans know how to say no, they said no to Obama's modest next to nothings for eight years!

They'll fuck Biden over at every turn and place the blame firmly on the White House.
Even then though, Obama was able to martial a great economic recovery for 8 years and see record job numbers.

I never said he lost the Latin vote. I mentioned Jorge Masvidal telling his constituency not to vote for Biden. That would be Florida.

Did Biden win Florida...?

Biden's people didn't win Arizona, that was Bernie Sanders intervention.

Biden sent nobody there.
Are they not the same party?

Then you’re not watching very closely.

I think Kaz has a point, as it stands, trump is still mathematically ahead. I wouldn't say he is on course to lose yet. Biden needs to swing at least one of Mich,Pa,Ga, in addition to holding the lead in nev/wis. May well end up he does, but the margin currently isn't suggesting trump is likely to lose.

You have to remember that there are actually some non-terrible Republicans like Romney who would vote for a bill if it was good enough. Plus a few who are desperate to be rid of Trump and this whole charade, so might well be tempted to ignore the party if the party is sinking in order to be seen as not party to the nonsense that's been going on. Wishful thinking I know, but the Republican party is hanging by a thread

Yes. Having a new AG and truly independant DoJ is such a massive step. Also Trump losing his pardon power and power to order people not to testify (basically his ability to pervert the course of justice). Its not really about policy, the basic reinstatement of independant mechanisms of justice is where Biden would start and then not interfere going forward.

They really don't get it on here!

It's laughable! The GOP will jam all the policies back up Biden's arse, so much so he'll compromise on things the GOP will want.

Honestly, it's like trying to explain to 2 year olds.

The clown mentioning executive orders doesn't realise Biden's intention is to 'reach across the aisle'. he'll compromise the fuck out of everything to get something.

That's how little he knows about the 'amazing' DNC candidate.

You're opinion of Biden is well known and in truth I have no love for him either. But there is a difference now, whereas before the election it looked liked Biden would reach across the aisle from a position of strength, it now looks like he'll be reaching from a position of weakness.

Of those called, he's mathematically behind.

The margin IS suggesting Trump loses given the types of ballots still to be counted. We've seen it all night in the ikes of Virginia.

LOL!

Romney will be outcast if he constantly goes against the GOP leadership, who is McConnell, who has retained his seat.

He won't chance that too much.

I think McConnell has cemented his reputation with his hypocrisy re the Supreme Court appointment - he will struggle to shrug off that blatant piece of outrageous political expedience. .The Republicans are now firmly wedded to far right popularism and I think we will be slightly surprised when they unleash another far right candidate in 2024... Trumps legacy will live on for many years.

Is he not allowed to express his opinion on Biden?
TBF even my dog knows his opinion on Biden given it's one he's repeated several times a day since he beat Bernie and Bigga threw his toys out of the pram back in March. So much so that Bigga would rather Trump won again to burn the house down. It's not a moralistic position.

Everybody knows his opinion of Biden. The Biden thread was started because all he could do was go on about Biden in the Trump thread, and the Biden thread and now this thread are chock full of his opinion of Biden. It's the one thing anyone who's paid any attention to these threads over the last year knows for a fact, and that's his opinion of Biden.

No because those are still counting votes as it's so close. Many will get called for one or the other well before the last vote is counted if the lead is or appears to be impregnable, even if there are still uncounted votes.
Thanks, I didn't know they declared results early on states.

Although I probably should have given the way they tally them

Do you apply the same logic to others? Are they not allowed to talk about Trump because we already know that they don't like him?

Or is this another special case exception?

You could do with shouting this to the champagne socialists on the golf courses...
