that's oddly calming to hear. i don't know as much as I probably should about UK politics admittedly
I wouldn't bother. Same shit, different bucket.

Pennsylvania is down to 5.3% down over 3% today and lots of votes left to be counted. Certain counties hadn't even started counting mail in ballots as of noon today.
...and it hasn't been.Penn still has 3m votes to count, virtually all in urban Phili and mail in ballots (all would favour Biden). It's not a shoo in for Trump at all.
Is there really no one in Trump's inner circle saying to him "FFS Donald, give it up already"?
I think you mean Greenland.
Not the whole thing, but . . .I think you mean Greenland.
Someone already has; it's on Twitter I'll see if I can dig it up.You just know that someone is already making a Downfall video for tonights events........so much material....
The cynic may say they think they arent going to win it after allEric and Rudi have turned up in Pennsylvania tonight with a "witness" to voter fraud. A witness in as much as he couldn't get in to watch the count ergo he has witnessed fraud.
Why would you claim fraud in a state you are likely to win??!! - He's fucking lost the plot tonight lashing out blind.
Immediately reminded me of this but took me a moment to find it.
Biden is favored to win PA right now.Eric and Rudi have turned up in Pennsylvania tonight with a "witness" to voter fraud. A witness in as much as he couldn't get in to watch the count ergo he has witnessed fraud.

Biden is 1/3 odds on to win PA.
It’s the ‘Treaty of Westphalia’ skit from A Bit of Fry and Laurie. Can't see that here for some reason - what is it from?
I think there's another big one in that they legitimately think that he's the best option or the party is legitimately better. To us there may be no or very limited logic as how we can get to the conclusion that Trump is the no1 guy but for them they have a differing background that means that the assumptions they use to make logical conclusions are vastly different to ours. This is a way oversimplification and just my opinion, but I think it boils down to 2 things.
1) The two-party system inevitably creates an "us" vs "them" mentality. It's just human nature. There's no room for compromising an alliances. Your side either wins or loses. And nobody wants to lose. So even if you're not thrilled about your candidate, you're more likely to vote for them because there is no other option
2) Conservatives in the US in general tend to be single issue voters more so then Liberals. So, they pick one thing that they care about and then vote for whoever best fits that policy. Unfortunately in many conservative pockets that tends to be an anti-abortion, or anti-immigration, or pro-gun, or pro-blue collar jobs vote. Which the Republicans frame their whole campaign around. And it works
It's obviously much more complicated then I can ever hope to fully understand or explain but in my opinion those are the 2 biggest reasons he gets that support.
