Spot on. I work with a Trumpton fanatic who cannot separate "socialism" with "communism"
I have had similar experiences.

Then again, I have found many Americans don’t really think there is a difference, regardless of political persuasion. That’s more cultural than anything, I think, but our American brothers/sisters would be better placed to comment.

Huh, if only we had something more up to date than a 26 year old bill (which he has said was wrong) to judge him by...like an election manifesto?

No one running on a ticket with decriminalising drugs, expunging drug only arrests, eliminating cash bail and closing private prisons is running as a "tough on crime" candidate.
Both running on the ticket have "tough on crime" histories, so we'll see what happens when riots and the like start to happen during the tenure, especially with the senate involved.

Has anything been heard from that loud mouthed biggot Rush Limbaugh?

My wife and I stayed with her cousin in his second home on a golf course in North Carolina and he subjected me to a daily dose of this objectional human being. It got so bad that I used to take myself off for walks round the golf course instead of falling out with my host.

Made me smile, anyway.

Actually have a mate that lives in Fulton County that has spent the last month or so doing registration drives and get out the vote events, and spent Election Day driving older people to the polls. As you can imagine, he is well chuffed right now.

I sent him a message this morning thanking him for all of his hard work.

He replied with “I couldn’t just sit around with Lewis staring down at me.”

I think you replied to the wrong post then, the post you replied to was mine about the runoffs in Georgia

No I didn't bud, what I was suggesting is that the decriminalising of marajuana isn't that radical, obviously decriminalising hard drugs like heroin is.

But that's an entirely different avenue of debate.

Yes, for a different thread.

Yes, and DeJoy and co ignored a court order to sweep their facilities for more Mail-in ballots that were not delivered so they could be collected and assessed for validity (whether they could be counted under law).

It was what I was referring to in my earlier post when I said it was the “actual mail-in ballot fraud” and why it skews FL demo metrics quite substantially. Depending on how the post-election investigations go, we may never really know the full extent of DeJoy’s interference.

Was Florida where the judge has indicated that he'll be seeing DeJoy in his courtroom?

I obviously can’t verify this account but it does match a few verified ones I have seen written elsewhere about this sort of bad faith interference masquerading as “poll monitoring”.

This is the sort of thing many of us predicted would happen, and it is not a new or particular surprising tactic. But it is still infuriating to hear accounts and to just know it is happening and I thought it offered additional context for people outside of the US trying keep up with what is happening.

I'm not sure decriminalizing them is that radical. Legalizing them, perhaps.
