Time of year, and facemasks, hmmm, are they even effective?This second spike is weird, well the whole shit show is unfathomable but it's getting worse for cases where I work since the stricter rules on wearing masks/face coverings.Viral load perhaps?

France's lockdown on March was extreme.60K cases in France and +800 deaths really grim, hope we don't see that many cases here.
I remember Whitty babbling on back in April that the lock down was to squash the curve not to minimise it because that would make it worse come any 2nd wave.
Amazingly it looks like they were right

Yeah 4 lads on my site off with it and a supervisor i know who was on circle square died in hospital last week with it.Lots I know have it now. Upto 20 people across family and work. Only one been really poorly to the extent has to go to hospital.
going to see my dad for only the 4th time this year tommorow and having a 2 metre chat. I might be breaking the rules a bit I dont know but I can live with that. Won’t touch or go too close and will be outdoors.

i see a few who don’t, I do because it reassure others. The biggest covidiots you see though are those who wear them alone in a car or outdoors with no one around them haha

That’s a good thing right? You can control a virus to an extent but it has to spread. And for perspective less people will die this year through covid than smoking related illnesses and you can legally go and contribute towards that problem.Getting to the point where I now more that have it or have had it than those who are yet to get it.

I am due to pick up my youngest son tomorrow. He lives with his mum and I am sure I heard boris say that children that live apart from both families can still visit/stay over.
But my missus says he's 18 so isnt a child, I still pay maintenance as he is still in education.
So now I am not sure he can visit now. Last time we went nearly 3 months without him coming over and it was horrible.
He's 18 he can do what the fuck he wants.
If he wants to come to yours, he comes.

I was looking at ONS information but I had also seen figures before that deaths from smoking had averaged about 80k since the ban in pubs, public buildings etc.Where did you get your previous stat from lol
