Ford pardoned Nixon but the Senate didn’t actually take the vote to impeach him. Interestingly Nixon escaped prosecution but most of his inner circle did time inside. It was a disgrace that Nixon allowed his team to carry the can for his crimes and the Watergate tapes prove he knew exactly what was going on from the outset. I haven’t given up hope that one day technology will enable us to find out what was erased from that “smoking gun” tape.

Credit to CNN - they called it out very effectively. Many in the US media need to look at the role they have played in the proliferation of lies and misinformation. As someone said on CNN what’s the difference between the US and Putin’s Russia right now... very little in respect of the spread of misinformation by the Head of State.

Watching CNN of late (it's like a latest craze for many at the moment) feels a bit like a bad habit...quite fun, reasonably informative and entertaining....but a bit like a surplus of candy floss in the end (that's not putting CNN down btw more it's a case of the same thing repeated over and over again).

Just hope Trump doesn't go easy and he steals the govt limo and drives off down the highways followed by helicopters a la OJ Simpson.

The difference between CNN on the one hand and the BBC and Sky on the other is significant. CNN more balanced, huge volume of integrity - they call out the lies and it treats its audiences as adults. The BBC election coverage is like Blue Peter at times it’s so damn patronising.

Really sad to see what trump has done to that country, i always said trump would be a dictator if he could . Fox are a disgrace in this , their reporter on the ground was saying to the anchor it is just not true what trump is saying and the counting of votes are done in rooms that have as many cameras as a casino
