A little but i have been having a good bash at cs:go recently, cba with valorant, to much like Apex Legends for my liking (flashing lights everywhere). Hell Let Loose is fun to. R6 is all about map knowledge and holding angles isn't it, like you say going all Leroy Jenkins is not an option. Great game though, just not enough time to play them all currently.

Just a quick note on Battlefield. In their (EA) earnings call/report to investors Battlefield was front and centre, DICE has their entire team working on it with plenty of time to sort it.

Exciting times to be a battlefield fan. They don’t normally get things wrong, but BF5 was a disappointment. I did put some hours into it and did enjoy running around with my mates having a laugh like you do on battlefield games. That lack of content was poor for a AAA. Just have to look at modern warfare/warzone and see how much content gets added. Dice needs to up their game in that department. Im hoping to see building damage on a bigger scale and huge maps. I would like to see dice take on another battle royale. If any game is suited to a battle royale, it’s got to be battlefield. Make it free to play next time you cunts.

I've played both and they are both good but different. Elite is the more 'realistic' flight sim type, No Man's Sky got bashed on release but was ok and has improved loads since and involves planetary exploration too. The procedurally generated worlds are great but after a while can get a bit samey, elite is based on known galaxies.

I think you can pick up elite for just a few quid now, am sure I saw it for about 3.99 the other day.

Keep thinking to give no mans sky another go based on what people say. Didn’t last long at release as was just really boring I found and nothing to really do. Elite was probably one of the most anticipated games ever for me based on my childhood trafficking slaves and narcotics and preying I didn’t end up in thargoid land. Not sure why but the new version I just couldn’t get into. It seemed like it lost the fun of what made the original so good and just was to complex and a bit of a slog.

All great points imo. The early show of the destruction physics looked like you will be sorted on that front. The scale was noted, it was heavily implied that 128 player will be a feature. They were on about "scale" with the wording saying that without saying it.

They have also looked at the BR stuff and imo will defo be releasing a f2p like warzone, firestorm was just shite overall. Best part was the lobby shooting cans of the rafters lol. Hopefully they get this one right, i think they will.

Got elite dangerous when it was on offer years ago played about an hour, you need a HOTAS to play ot as landing the fucker with a joypad I found impossible.

Yeah used to be you could buy an auto dock chip from certain space stations but you didn't know which so you could be flying around for ages but that's changed now. If fact over the last year 18 months there have been huge changes in particular the missions.

They have storylines now and it's much more user friendly

The world does not need another battle royale. Warzone has it covered. Pubg has less and less players these days judging by the amount of bots in games.

Been playing BF for years. 1942 in clan matches and then the rest. Some hit the mark, bad company 2, bf3 and some didn't, bf1.

What the series needs is a move away from the gimmicks and towards great maps. In fact, just do 1942 maps but with the new engine.

They also need to simplify the guns, classes etc etc and fuck the skins off. Aim the game at adults.

BF, at its core, should be a tight shooter set within a decent map with a sandbox core. Get in anything and do what you want.

It also needs to go back to putting planes on airfields and letting them spawn instead of being airborne already.

And no fucking battle royale.

Ill boot it up later and see as im in work and im 95% sure a docking computer is installed in your first ship although you have to start a new game and go though the new tutorial. You can definitely buy and advanced docking computer which not only lands you but it will take off from a space station automatically without crashing into anyone else

A man after my own heart. Never got into BR stuff personally. Conquest is where it is at. Breakthrough is ok but i always find conquest covers all the bases.

Never understood skins, defaults are fine with me, who the fuck wants a nasty looking gold sniper rifle? Certainly not going to pay for them, i don't even open them when i rank up or finish a challenge etc.

Totally agree on the airfields. That way i can hide in the bushes and run out as some poor sap is taking off and chuck a load of c4 on it like i do on Hamada map.

I play with keyboard and mouse, found it hard going at first but stuck with it and it's fine now. HOTAS probably better for the overall 'feel' of playing a space sim mind you. Make sure you change 'Roll' to the keys and 'Yaw' to the mouse rather than the default setup and you should be good to go. You'll be docking manually no bother before you know it and will get rid of your docking computer to free up space for other things.

Interesting, I have a hotas for all things flying, but can't play ED with it at all. Much prefer controller, and that's with nearly 600hrs in there. Dif'rent strokes I guess. I don't touch the docking comp.

Don't forget the supercruise assist now, so no more looping round stations, now that is a worthwhile addition.
 
Weird feeling as I'm getting my Xbox tomorrow but genuinely don't think there are any games for it that I'll bother getting. I have games pass so I guess I'll download some free shit and give that a go, but it's weirdly anti-climactic!
