Remember it well. Think they were leading comfortably at the time anyway. He must have had serious money on the score, he didn’t look in the slightest bit bothered...it’s the only possible explanation!?!?

Worst for me was sept 1991 0-1 down at home to Everton get a late penalty and for reasons that still escape me 20 year old debutant Michael Hughes takes it and almost clears the North Stand roof, no big balls seniors would take it, including Keith Curle... which brings back how grateful I was he couldn’t take them... owe my life to his miss at Cardiff... if that had gone in then it could have been good night Vienna after the game for a lot of us

Just seen the penalty miss from Fulham yesterday, terrible for the player and his team who are struggling this season. 1:0 down and deep into injury time and he tried to chip it in...

I posted that penalty a few months ago and one poster claimed he'd taken one where he hit both bars...

It is the way the scorer sinks to his knees in celebration that makes me laugh, cos he was bloody lucky indeed. I'm guessing it's a cup game shootout? Did this pen win it do you know?
