England 317 hospital deaths in detail:

11 Nov adds 39 = 39 after 1 day. (Was 39 added last wk)

10 Nov adds 151 = 191 after 2 days.(Was 104 added last wk)

9 Nov adds 58 = 261 after 3 days (was 38 added last wk) 261 is the highest day 3 total since the 30 April. The first time we have gone back into April to match an England hospital death number. That was just 3 weeks after the wave 1 peak when it had fallen from over 600 by day 3 on 8 April). Let us hope we do not see that again in reverse.

261 is the highest number recorded on a single date since 2 May - and this is at that point after just 72 hours. Really worrying.

8 Nov adds 16 = 229 after 4 days (Was 18 last wk)

7 Nov adds 18 = 253 after 5 days. (Was 8 last wk). 253 is the highest day 5 total since 1 May - but as you can see 9 Nov - 2 days behind - is already above it - so will not be the highest for long sadly.

Many other add ons - will just give new totals for dates with any added today:

6 Nov = 220, 5 Nov = 206, 2 Nov = 215, 1 Nov = 214 , 31 Oct = 206, 30 Oct = 195, 27 Oct = 162, 26 Oct = 167, 25 Oct = 158, 23 Oct = 143, 22 Oct = 145, 19 Oct = 112, 15 Oct = 91, 10 Oct = 61

Doing it this way gives you a sense of how rapidly the England hospital deaths have risen in the past month - from 61 to 261 a day and rising.

N Ireland 3 wks ago v 2 wks v last wk v today

Deaths 5 v 8 v 8 v 15 today

Cases 1042 v 822 v 516 v 548 today. A small rise but it does look like this has bottomed out.

7 day total cases 6753 v 5947 v 4256 v 3835 today - a nice fall but this may now have stalled.

Patients 291 v 361 v 409 v 435 today - the slowing of the increase continues here too.

Ventilators 23 v 39 v 42 v 30 today - this has levelled off and is now falling but rising deaths are obviously a part of why. Even so the numbers are not discouraging. But whilst care home outbreaks increase - as they still are - these numbers will not be a cause for real encouragement.

So total UK deaths today (without England out of hospital ones yet) = 411. Below yesterday. But not by as much as we might have hoped. Looks all but certain the all settings will top 500.

Last week - from 313 at this stage the all settings became 378.

From the guidance she should stay in one place for the whole time, as she shouldnt leave the house. How old is she?

How to self-isolate

You must not leave your home if you're self-isolating.

Don’t

  • do not go to work, school or public places – work from home if you can
  • do not go on public transport or use taxis
  • do not go out to get food and medicine – order it online or by phone, or ask someone to bring it to your home
  • do not have visitors in your home, including friends and family – except for people providing essential care
  • do not go out to exercise – exercise at home or in your garden, if you have one

She's 8 pal.
You will need to follow the same self-isolation rules if your daughter moves between houses, but as long as you and your ex-partner take a common sense approach and follow the rules strictly and collectively, including times when the child is with the other parent, you will still be able to maintain the contact arrangements.

Thanks mate this backs up what the school have told me a short while ago. Cheers

I've not heard that one before?
Jaw or under the jaw ? it will be his lymph glands , they get bigger and sore when you are fighting an infection, you can call the drs if you need reasurance

Total cases for the 3 nations without England today are 2627 cases.

3 wks v 2 wks v last wk v today = 3888 v 3325 v 3004 v 2627.

So there has been a slow and steady fall.

Last week to this 3004 cases England added 21.137 to total for UK 24, 141

From 285K pillar 1 & 2 tests. For comparison later.

1 in 80 people have it now , really important for everyone not to spread it further

But he said it would depend on whether the UK regulator licenses it in time, adding: "The earliest time point for supplying vaccines will not be before the middle of December.

"And the middle of December will not mean the situation will dramatically change. This will be a difficult winter. It will become worse before it becomes better."

Despite his new found global fame, Professor Sahin, 55, said he does not own a TV and will continue to cycle to work despite shares in his firm soaring to $21bn (£16bn).

And huge rise in new cases to 33, 470. Pretty much all that rise in England too.

I fear for the NW.

That is 10, 520 up on yesterday.

Though it is in mitigation from the highest pillar 1 & 2 test numbers yet - 353, 383

That is 68,000 more than yesterday and 104, 000 more than the day before.

No wonder we were only finding low case numbers.

He had better explain why this absurd fall now rise in testing is happening in our world beating system as it is naive to think it is not impacting case numbers recorded.

One in five people who survive COVID-19 will be diagnosed with a psychiatric disorder within 90 days, according to a study examining the pandemic.

The most common conditions that recovered patients are diagnosed with include anxiety, depression and insomnia, although the researchers also found significantly higher risks of dementia.

It comes as the number of people who have died with coronavirus in the UK passes the 50,000 mark, according to government figures, highlighting the devastating impact of the virus on the country.

Due to a delay in processing England deaths data, the deaths figures for England and UK have not been updated. These will be updated as soon as possible.

Third different problem in five days.

Tests all over the place, lost case numbers for hours twice in the week, now cannot access death data.

How is any modern nation supposed to run a fast moving pandemic with tech that seems more suited to the 1918 pandemic.

As you might expect today's utterly shocking rise in cases is terrible news for the NW.

Half hoping they have just found another load dumped behind the sofa and this is not a real huge rise after being stable for so long in the low 20Ks\

Though NW is not alone. Those Pop Scores all going down lately are likely to be rocketing up again.

I'll be interested to see where those cases are. I don't believe Liverpool figures at all this week with the mega testing - perhaps this is what the press conference is about?

Regional scoreboard:

London 3929 - nearly double yesterdays 2048. Highest ever London cases number.

Midlands 4348 again way up from 2700 yesterday. Highest ever here too.

North East 2086 - up from 1671 in a much more modest rise here. And not close to the highest ever.

Yorkshire 4583 - well up from 3163 to again the highest ever here.

And North West 5122 - up from 3840 to highest number in 16 days.

Not great for the NW or Yorkshire with big rises but the real story seems to be this is no longer just about the north. With cases escalating everywhere now.

London had the biggest rise today for the first time since wave 1.

You would think BBC 1 would shut down Pointless for that and give wall to wall coverage as it matters now, doesn't it?
