Ok, how will you decide it’s safe then? That is up to them.
Oh really? So kids who already missed nearly eight months school can just like that miss another six until April?
Having two primary school children whose behaviour deteriorated throughout lockdown and could again get worse. Don’t underestimate the importance of social interaction for the kids, daily structure for their well being. And for many kids this is their safe haven, their only hot meal. Many single parent families already struggling to cope. Home schooling is difficult for a short period of time let alone extended for months. That’s why we have teachers, they’re experts. And many kids can’t learn on line without equipment or infrastructure to assist.
Not going over old ground again, this was done to death a few days back.Ok, how will you decide it’s safe then?
Humour me I missed it, genuinely interested on what that decision will be based on?Not going over old ground again, this was done to death a few days back.
No, I will not humour me. If you knew my reasons, you would understand my position.Humour me I missed it, genuinely interested on what that decision will be based on?
and therefore not take it the first time round and increase the R number.I said people have the right to satisfy themselves it is safe to take before doing so. And I maintain that position
Fair enough. I was trying to understand your position, that’s why I was askingNo, I will not humour me. If you knew my reasons, you would understand my position.

Just took the time to read back last few days posts. Sorry for what happened to you. No malice was intended. Was genuinely interested to see how people will be able to decide if somethings safe other than waiting for a long timeNo, I will not humour me. They need to do something with easing pressure on schools. If they can get the vaccine rollout moving around 1st Dec
Surely it would make sense to rejig the school calendar a bit, not losing any teaching time but moving school holidays.
Plan is apparently to have all the over 50's vaccinated by Easter, move some school holidays around so that kids are in as little as possible over Dec & Jan? Furlough runs till March so most parents don't have to worry about time off.
The Gov were prepared to absolutely blow up the economy to slow the spread, surely some holidays can be moved.
sorry i got the distinct impression that you were saying the level of disruption wasnt that bad for schools. Its been really bad imo.I’ve not suggested anything like that
Thought you were banned for wummingTrust me, it is a badge of honour for some folks. And the fact they needed to be tested to know they even got it says it all
Poor assumption there bud. Not sure why you are being confrontational today.and therefore not take it the first time round and increase the R number.
Just because I point out the irony in you not wanting to take the vaccine and then moaning about the R number going up due to lockdown not working doesnt mean im confrontational.Dont worry, he is in a confrontational mood today.
Its not an asumption. You said you wouldnt take the vaccine first time arround even knowing all the problems that would create for others by prolonging the pandemic.Poor assumption there bud. Not sure why you are being confrontational today.
