N Ireland 3 wks ago v 2 wks v last wk v today

Deaths 8 v 8 v 7 v 9 today

Cases 896 v 685 v 420 v 472 today

Patients 317 v 361 v 396 v (???) today - but was 422 yesterday.

Ventilated 27 v 42 v 48 v 39 today.

The rolling 7 day case total was 6898 v 5011 v 3909 - last week - NI do not post weekend data on their site till Monday but I make it 3914 today. First week to week rise since pre circuit breaker.

A slight cause for concern in the province.

Maybe. There doesnt seem much point in trying to debate anything further with him with regards to the benefits of taking a vaccine that will get all our lives back on track and save countless others. l Just hope he doesnt influence too many others with his paranoia. Perhaps he would think differently if he had lost a family member like we sadly have.

That actually sounded worse than I meant sorry:-) anyhow I’m 10th in the list of 11 to get it so if you’re younger than me you will be bottom. So after all the tests so far and then months and months of more worldwide while you are waiting there can only be 2 conclusions you can draw.

Either just take it or be worried about any long term effects ie years away. Nothing to square off really. If no one has grown an extra bollock before it gets to you I think you take it then or never bother tbh.

Mate, did you read the reasons he’s not going to rush out to get the vaccine?
 
So deaths today without out of hospital ones for England (which are usually low or unreported on Sunday) is 157.

Last week it was 151. That became 156 in all settings later.

The actual number now assigned to the day before (as in the real number for Saturday 7 Nov v the reported one of 156 on the Sunday that covered many days up to then totalled) is 351.

And it is actually 369 minimum as we know 18 of today's reported England hospital deaths occurred on 7 Nov.

Rather dramatic difference.

Here is the official gov.uk data for the first 12 days of November showing the ACTUAL deaths that occurred on these dates. It is a few days behind as deaths are added to it as you can see from the England hospital data even weeks later, but in significant numbers for at least 4 or 5 days.

So the top two of three in this list are likely going to be up quite a few from where they are now. The ones below them likely less. Though as you saw today 'less' can still mean 18 in one day a week later. The final number is the total UK death toll. Though aside from today's reported 151 deaths so far there are also another 122 not assigned to dates to add to that total. Which is as of today now 51, 917.

What I find interesting is that there is NOT an obvious rapid rise of deaths day to day and a hint we might be at close to a plateau.

That may be happening in some schools but i know from having spoken to my daughters head teacher that transmission isnt occuring in her school. its outside. This is a half hearted lockdown compared to the first one and so many other things could be stopped before schools are closed.

I'm interested how she knows. My school have extremely stringent procedures in place; we were lauded by the LA for the mitigation strategies we've implemented. And we've had staff, parents and pupils test positive. Finding out who was / is the "index" case is incredibly difficult, as we have found at school. Was it the teacher bringing it in from outside, did an asymptomatic child give it the teacher, was it a parent passing it on who had picked it up from the post they'd handled? Would genuinely love to know how any headteacher could make such a claim.

I made reference to a topic which was totally out of order and I apologised for it, it wasn't wumming, I stand by my stance that I don't think Biden will be a good president. We have differing views on covid, vaccines and elections, but please don't assume I am wumming you, we live in a democracy, just about, and people will have differing opinions and if mine are contrary to yours I certainly mean no offence to you Kaz :-)
