Roy Keane the pundit

Keane was a bang average midfielder who had a will to win.

In terms of footballing ability and temperament I see no difference to Joey Barton (given, Barton had more off-field misdemeanours) Limited ability, all mouth and more famous for reckless tackles and confrontation than contribution to football.

The only difference I see between the 2 is that one played in red. Had Keane played for Everton/Villa/Spurs for the same period he would be viewed as nothing more than a thug.

People in the media mentioning Keane in the same breath as Vieira says all you need to know about the dinosaurs who get column inches.
I can't stand Keane at all - absolute tw@t, punditry's answer to Simon Cowell and chief dog w@nker, however the assertion that he wasn't a very very good player is plain wrong..........

He shit himself when Jonathon Walters offered him out when he was at Ipswich, he’s a media made hard man, any fucker can play the hard man hiding behind officials on the pitch ...
I remember mcateer openly taking the piss and Keane did fuck all, a mouthy bastard. De jong would have levelled the **** although Keane would have avoided him. As a pundit, he's a parody, the other pundits laugh at him

if a remember wright also Keith Curle offered Cantona out and Keane stepped in and Curle said You can have some as well and Keane shit out again. That was after a derby at our place think rags won 1- 0 and Cantona scored.
Got told that from a guy who was a steward at the time hopefully Keith Curle can come on or any stewards who were in the players lounge at the time after that Derby game.
Remember the Derby at the Swamp when Brown emptied Keane it was a beauty .

Definitely shit it from Niall Quinn and, of all people, Eike Immel in a Derby at Old Trafford, whilst we are on the "Keane is a shithouse" vibe.

Think it may have been the Frontzeck 'penalty' FA Cup game, when Uwe had chipped Schmeichel

I would pay good fucking money to see these two in a ring
Keane would not go toe to toe with any man, I really believe that. For one reason, he makes too much noise about it. The real and genuine hard bastards never go looking for trouble, but woe betide anyone who crosses them.

He was the embodiment of the pisscan on the pitch.

A bully and a coward.

It was that game. Quinn fronted him up - I think he even practically lifted the fucker off his feet and all of a sudden he wasn’t quite so gobby.

Superb news thought he might have been done at the end of this season and if signing maybe one year but two gives everyone connected with the club great stability moving forward. As we were all told for years you won't find success swapping and sacking managers , where's that statement these days. Really want Pep to see Klopp off now let's finish him off wipe that smirk off his face.
Pep can evolve the team now moving forward get some power in the team and sort the Finishing out and we will take some stopping. I cannot wait to start going games again.
