What if we don't try and he does want to come here?
Then it means the club does not want him ?

I don’t know what you are talking about but if the club identifies him as a target that they want, they would obviously talk to his agents and himself to know if he wants to come here before dealing with dortmund

I'm sure we could persuade him to come here if we pay him and his agents, etc enough.

He's a once in a generation talent striker that could be available just as we need to replace our legendary striker. We have to do all we can to get him here.

How shit would it be seeing him in red while we're pissing around looking for a striker good enough to take over from Kun?

As long as Raiola is Haalands agent, we will never see him at City. That’s a promise.

We were never fully in for centreback Matthijs De Ligt when we needed a young top centreback, because of Mino Raiola. And we will not even bother with Haaland as long as he represents him.

I'll wait to see this proven wrong. This is how it works; His comment about staying is because clubs have pushed their interest in him. He says he can stay to force their hand into upping their offers. And City are on the lookout for an Aguero successor. But really, dealing with Raiola is not on the agenda. Still, we can use the rumours of our growing interest in Haaland to seed uncertainty in the minds of any other clubs, players and agents we target.

TBH, I have a suspicion that we would love the opportunity to engage in a long winded saga in order to wind up Raiola, like we did De Laurentiis last summer. I just hope we don't end up using some seemingly innocent party like KK.

This is wrong.

we were in for De Ligt, just never at those prices.

Raiola has dealt with the club several times recently, I think Laporte’s people used him as did Sandler?

It’s not wrong. We’re refusing to deal with Raiola. We haven’t signed a single one of Raiolas players since Pep came in. Laporte was never represented by Raiola. Sandler I don’t know.

Laporte’s agents had Raiola step in and take over as they felt the deal was a step above them.

With Messi coming in, we won't go after another forward.

Sergio will get a new deal and Jesus will be also handed a new wedge to keep him sweet.

Holding pattern for two years.

Sergio is knackered. Messi is slowing down. Jesus keeps picking up knocks. A holding pattern? We should be striving forward. Always striving forward.

I’m not sure about that mate . Kun is not getting any younger and this season is way too early to talk about new contracts . Still think we need to look at replacing him even if he stays another year .

Sergio won't be knackered when he's being rotated with those two plus Sterling and Torres.

It's always subjective, but signing Messi is more than a step forward, it is breaching a chasm this club has not been able to yet do, both on and off the pitch.

Messi brings a kudos and fear factor only Pep and KDB give us at present.

Now imagine Messi on the same pitch as Kev and Raheem, teams will not be able to prioritise who to mark, creating overloads all over the pitch.

Personally, I think the team has missed Dave this season and, much as I love that man to his gifted bones, there can't be anyone out there surely who doesn't think even a 50 per cent Messi isn't still far superior to even what Dave gave us in the last three years?

City and Pep are excited by three or four youngsters we have now knocking on the door, including Delap.

Messi and Sergio, coupled with a brilliant Jesus, is more than adequate.

This will be for the here and now, to try and win everything in sight.

The money to replace Sergio and Messi will still be there when they have moved on.

In the meantime mate, I suggest sitting back and enjoying the privilege of Sergio and Messi giving their absolute all to prove a lot of people wrong, even some of our own fans.

so I take it without a big-money striker since Messi will be free it would be a relatively low spending summer on our part? just a left back and a midfieleder? ( zakaria and tagliafico ?)
