Taken us as far back to the Pearce and Hughes era's. Now that's some doing!!damning stats. Show how far we’ve fallen in the last 12 months. serious work ahead.
- Meanwhile, 12 points from eight games is Manchester City's lowest points total at this stage of a Premier League season since 2008-09, while their 10 goals scored is their lowest after eight games since 2006-07.
When you frame it like that.. well.. it’s positively petrifying.Taken us as far back to the Pearce and Hughes era's. Now that's some doing!!

Unless something changes drastically we aren’t making top 4.
Replacing Sane with Mahrez was the real problem. We signed a left footer who cant play on the left and scapegoated/forced out a player who has his flaws but who is still the best natural ‘outside’ left winger in the world imo.
Sane on the left and Sterling on the right got us 100 points but Pep’s eternal battle with his inner smartarse decided inverted wingers with full backs who cant overlap or cross was the way to go
Torres will be great for us, love him to bits
Wasn’t trying to be but was just making the point that the team could or should be able to function without him. Probably more importantly when at his best everything didn’t or have to go through him. Watched 2 very average teams tonight, us and the scum. Now I’m not saying we’re as average as them(although I’m avoiding the current league table). However both teams were very poor and have 2 players that everything goes through at the moment and who constantly give the ball away as the rest of the team plays in their shadow.oh,i hold my hands up

strangely enough, and if I have my general dates wrong someone will tell me, I think Wenger moved away from what got him success after looking at Peps all conquering style and seemed obsessed with small technically gifted players. Unfortunately they weren’t at the standard of Barca and become a bit soft.Incidentally at what point did Arsenal fans begin to question Wenger or when did he stop being the great manager he was for that club?

Might be a lesson there somewhere not sure what it is though:-)
A bit like bands who have a bit of early success then suddenly get into the gear, grow their hair long and start adding 25 minute guitar solos to prove how smart they are (Stone Roses, Arctic Monkeys etc)The two men are similar. They are so stubborn and have huge egos that is it not enough to do the remarkable (centurions/invincibles), they have to reinvent themselves by winning another way to prove their genius.
Today was poor and certainly not trying to make excuses , but Spurs are a bogey side for us. The really disappointing results are the Leeds and West Ham games which are games we should be winningIt’s all an overreaction to one game ... but then I look at the table and United is ahead of us now after playing the same games as us (they too have a game in hand on most like us) and I’m wondering what’s going on really? And we have a negative goal difference... It is a crazy season and anyone’s title right now ... Spurs, Chelsea and Leicester looking more contenders than us or the scouse ... oh, well give it another 10-11 games and then see where we stand at half way point having played 19 games ... with now some easy fixtures lined up for us, we should be putting a run together but not being able to beat Leicester or Liverpool at home and now Spurs away isn’t that great ... but then we couldn’t beat Leeds or West Ham either ... scratching my head a little !?!?
