It's just taken as Red now that they will have at least one major slice of good fortune per match. That OG, I mean FFS.

I thought Leicester had a good chance at beating them today with all of the injuries the dippers have. They didn't even lay a glove on them. Embarrassing performance from an attacking point of view.
Classic Rodgers. Folds whenever he's got a chance.

Normally I'd try and make something of that but I said in the first 5 minute "I have zero confidence in Leicester getting anything out of this game". Really wanted them to prove me wrong but I was spot on, they never looked like scoring, that miss from Barnes too. That would be a no-look shot, top bins if that's City, no doubt about it. So annoying. Rogers goes to jelly when he plays Liverpool.

We are so far away from them, how did this happen?
They consistently get their best 11 on the pitch (majority of the time!) and they have the fear factor now. Leicester been beating nearly everyone this season and completely folded up against a half strength dippers, how do you explain that?

Seemingly favorable ref decisions each week also helps.

Chelsea will give them a run.

Apart from Chelsea, nobody else looks close to challenging them. Spurs are shite. 11 behind the ball. Hoof ball. Rely on Kane and Son.

Can you have 2 random freak games in 9?
Look at it another way they’ve blown Chelsea and Leicester away already this season. They got 96 points and won the European cup 2 years ago and then pissed the league with 99 last year. Wait until they get injuries people said. They’ve had shitloads and lost the best defender in the league for the season yet they’re still right up there. Accept they’re a great side and up there on merit and concentrate on sorting ourselves out.

Does anyone think Liverpool have discovered some new age mental coaching strategies or something of the like? It does look as though the "mentality monsters" theory has something to it.

I wouldn't say our players are mentally weak but compared to Liverpool's players specifically, they do seem more prone when things are going against us(ref decisions, key players out for a big game) to letting those things affect them mentally. It feels like our players let those things decide games more often than Liverpool's players do, it can't be just down to a recruitment strategy or the managers words IMO.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised at all. You can't go all "In a season like this" and pretend that's going to end in November.
You wouldn’t be surprised “at all” if they conceded 7 again this season? Well that’s a bare faced lie to try to stubbornly prove a failing point on a forum.

Give over. There's no way you literally expect them to get battered again like that. Those kind of results are once every few years for big teams.

I think you're getting too hung up on semantics, a heavy defeat can't be a shock, it's already happened once this season, it can happen again. Maybe not 7 goals but a tonking of sorts.

Put it this way, I wouldn't expect it but it wouldn't shock me either.

I'd rather blame the players than the manager. They have Vardy up front against slow centre halfs playing a high line and wasn't trying to exploit it at all.

Yeah, it's almost as if it's personal with City, the manager doesn't need to say anything, they always want to get something out of the game. That attitude clearly wasn't there tonight against Liverpool. It feels like it's been the same under a few managers now. Where does that come from though? Leicester and City have no rivalry.

I literally do. I expect them to concede 5+ again this season. The defence without Van Dijk is poor. Klopp's reigned in the fullbacks to try and make them a bit more solid, but if they get a couple down in a game and chase it, they'll get torn apart again.
