Even a 4-0 win means the season is over under his criteria!

We need to score big against Burnley to get our scoring mojo back! And yes if we are unable to score big against the lesser teams then forget about scoring against the top 6 and we saw that with Spurs and Leicester and also Liverpool.

Scoring big will boost the boys confidence and get them back on track. This is my opinion and it doesn't mean winning 2-0 is a bad thing, I just believe we need to fix our scoring issues and start scoring big. Teams do not fear us any more, we are predictable.

Just so you know - it’s not a computer game

That's the thing, I want it to be a computer game like before when we used to score easily. We are struggling with goals with all the possession in the world. Even our chances are rarely tested the opponents goalies. We need to get our scoring mojo back. Teams need to fear us again, I feel that has gone completely and we are struggling to score.

If we can score big against the next team we place which is Burnley then it will boost the confidence of the boys to score more and will send a message to all the teams that we are still here. At the moment we are a shadow of the team we were last year and years before that scored 100+ goals a season!

We need this back otherwise we will end up drawing and losing many more games!

That was the 17/18 season, and no I haven't forgotten about that. None of that matters now though, he is wasting a shitload of opportunities and that's not my opinion, that's a fact.

What do you know about me being a "newbie"? Absolutely zero. City fans outside of this forum existed long before you were born. But it seems my opinion doesn't matter since I haven't been around here long enough. Sad really.

Will have to disagree there. Bernardo is a better player than sterling? So he was a better footballer one or two year ago that's the reason we start him? He didn't prove anything last season or this season whenever he started. Quite wasteful in the last game too. His work rate though is commendable. Yes sterling was wasteful too and is having a dip in form but if sterling hadn't played the last game we would have score 0. Just like we did with spurs . If we need to score we have to start sterling(I would say kun and sterling if kun was fit).

I think it's not fair to compare Bernardo and Sterling right now, as Sterling starts pretty much every game and Bernardo comes on and off the bench over this last year. I know Bernardo is quality, and I believe a better footballer than Sterling when he reach his heights. In 18/19 he was absolutely unplayable. I want that man back, but for this to happen he has to play consistently.

I still think both Ferran and Bernardo would be more clinical in front of goal. I'm absolutely certain of it, but they have to play a few games for that to happen. Sterling (right now) doesn't deserve to play. It's that easy. He need to shape up and start taking his chances.

I think Raz needs a rest on the bench and Torres have been amazing these last weeks. He should have a go at left wing given his form, and Sterling hasn't played well lately, let's be honest here. Laporte hasn't been sharp either so why not play Aké if he's fit.

I wouldn't say Torres has been amazing mate he's had 1 maybe 2 decent games for us he's certainly not worthy of replacing Raheem, Mahrez I'd agree.

Laporte isn't sharp yet u expect a returning from injury Ake to be sharper? Nah

Try something different? absolutely agree. We all know Burnley are going to sit with 11 men behind the ball so I'd maybe play with 1 CB and have Rodri switch between DM & CB when needed.

I like that set up,and suggested it myself.But i agree with @ami that Sterling is struggling,he isnt impacting games as he should be.I'd replace him with Cancelo in that system.

I just think Laporte needs a rest and Pep says everyone is back and fit, so Aké seems ready according to him. I do believe he will be more than enough against Burnley.

For me Sterling needs a wake-up call, and the only way to give him one is to drop him. Ferran playing for Spain didn't need many chances to convert, and Sterling over these past weeks have been too wasteful which is costing us points. Raheem is usually a fantastic player but there's a reason we have two players on every position: everyone needs to stay sharp or they will be dropped. It's the competition that improves players. Pep said so himself.

Hopefully sergio can get more mins , we have played with no strikers for months , we need him and gabby and put the others where they should be , that will solve the problem
