Porto (A) - CL | Post-Match Thread

Job done but typical CL Officiating. Non penalty (we really need to appeal much louder and better) and how they only had 1 booking is laughable. Pathetic officiating as per usual, seems their manager moaning got to him.
But 1/2 a team out and job done, but going forward we still look poor and a new world class striker needed

Tonight like so many games this season are virtually attack v defence. This can’t be a new thing for City but whilst on the whole tonight’s game wasn’t bad on the whole it’s difficult to watch. Too many players are not effecting the games. Bernardo (better second half) Torres and Stirling. Oh for a Tevez or a Ya Ya in their pomp to grab the game.

Solid defencivly again which is good to see, but such poor finishing again. Bernardos cross for Jesus's 'goal' was quality and further proof that right hand side of the front 3 is his best position. Thats where he played 2 seasons ago, but hardly ever plays there now.
Porto players were wankstains. Same as their manager.
Hope 4/5 youths get a run out final game.

Did it?

A subjective decision based on inaccurate technology, and well before the goal. Also, Rodder's didn't gain an advantage by being an ankle in front of the last defender, and he played the ball backwards.

The fact that the HUMAN generated lines showed him offside doesn't mean he actually was. The relatively slow frame rate (50fps) allows up to 13cm difference between the point the pass is actually struck and the moment the VAR official subjectively decides when they THINK the pass was made, and therefor open to error, or worse corruption.
He received the ball in an offside position.End of discussion.
