Nothing like that on the FT itself.

There is this from 4 hrs ago but its not quite what C4 News were reporting - its hard to imagine that the govt may be briefing different stories to different people - they wouldn't dare would they?

it won't link - google "internal markets bill ft news" and the news story is top of the pile

Utter cobblers. 75% of momentum members (post referendum) were for a second referendum (and remaining) and I suppose none of the EU socialist parties are in favour of being in the EU. Thatcher called the Social Chapter a socialist charter, and we are now opting out of that important bit of internationalism. Workers' rights are under threat. The EU has policies to address the precarariat, the UK will embrace the "flexible" labour market (yet another "benefit" for the right wing promoters of Brexit.

Did you ever meet Benn?
I met the great man twice. Once at a labour party conference at the winter Gardens and once on a trip to the commons.

He was great for lots of reasons, just one of which in my mind being his vociferous opposition to the EU at the same time Mrs Thatcher and many on the right of the Conservative party were actively campaigning to keep Britain In.

Did you ever meet Maggie? She sounds like just your sort of person.

Lol
Single market = Common rulebook.
Free movement = Mobility framework.
Customs union = Customs arrangement.

That was Mays deal.

All of the above got a kicking from the EU and was rejected by the E27. Out of the Single Market and Customs Union means out. Once May announced that in the Lancaster House speech, the die was cast. Hard Brexit is the only logical outcome of being out of the SM and CU. The four years since has just been the UK slowly recognising that fact. In short there was never a chance of keeping our cake and eating it.

The choice now is simple. How high does the UK want the trade and cultural barriers with the Europe to be? Johnson could have made that decision months ago. He has a week left to choose.

Please don't let Brexit make you stupid.

You very clearly know next to nothing about Tony Benn, that's obvious as the suggestion that Tony would have been in favour of the Thatcher designed modern day EU is laughable. That's not a problem, patriotic left wing politicians aren't everyone's cup of tea.
Michael Foot was also anti-eu. as was Peter Shore and indeed a plethora of British socialists. As they are now. It is impossible to be a socialist AND a remainer.

Its the liberals that are pro EU, and as anyone with any modicum of intelligence already knows liberals and socialists are very very different political animals.
So very well said - @Rascal, myself and others have been saying similar for years

There are a good number of 'faux socialists' - aka liberals - about - some know what they are doing but prefer to wear the clothes - others, it seems, simply do not understand what being a socialist means or what socialism is

Some just

Stupid is clinging to the fact thinking a few hundred thousand momentum members are Labour.

Millions of the electorate fucked you and your shite brexit plans off. Millions that would have voted for Labour but for Corbyn and his plans.
Two-thirds of Labour voters voted Remain. We lost our constituency to the Tories because the LibDems took enough of the Remain vote to cost Labour its majority. And that was true of most Labour seats, just not the "red wall" - even in nearly all those constituencies most Labour voters still vote Remain.

Where do you think the 48% Remain vote came from? It wasn't bloody Tories.
