Thats all very well MB but everybody knows Tony Benn wasn't really a left wing advocate for the people who willingly gave up his hereditary privilege on a point of principal - thats just a lie.I'll save you the trouble.

Are you ok?Thats all very well MB but everybody knows Tony Benn wasn't really a left wing advocate for the people who willingly gave up his hereditary privilege on a point of principal - thats just a lie.
We all know he was actually a vicious, right wing, xenophobic northern working class, racist, knuckle-dragger, tory c☆☆t.
The REAL left of centre heroes of the poor and disadvantaged are those people who "talk left and live right". Or 'liberals' as they like to call themselves.
"Do as we tell you to do and we will pat you on the head. The fact that what we are telling you to do (and smearing you for NOT doing) benefits us economically and socially vastly more than any perceived benefit YOU may receive is simply an unfortunate coincidence. Or better yet, its a vast right wing racist conspiracy. Yeah, that's the one. A vast right wing conspiracy. Now pop along and vote the way we want you to do. Or we'll call you a tory. But before you go MOW MY F@@@ING LAWN YOU WORTHLESS WORKING CLASS PIECE OF SHIT"
I did try to ask what happens to the herring the Dutch don't catch in our waters. I suppose if there's a shortage of herring, that might get the Dutch and others to think about alternative fish. If they got a taste for cod and chips that's the price of cod going up in our chippies.the government have convinced many people fish is important, whatever deal is finally agreed, 99.9% of people will realise the fishing issue has made no difference to their lives, and for some of those that make aliving from fish and seafood it will have made their livings worse
The UK is undemocratic. Who voted for it? (Well, maybe elites...)When has my argument ever been about "wanting no deal"?
We've left the EU Parliament/Commission, we're no longer a member. I'm satisfied. Getting a deal is now part of a different conversation, one I hope we acheive. I'm not concerned about "getting one over on the EU" and playing hardball, i'm not bothered about "being seen" to come out of the trade deal stronger/weaker.
If tarriff free trade continues i'll be satisfied with the deal. So long as the EU is unable to exercise any powers over the UK, I'll have no issues with a deal/no deal outcome but a deal is preferred.
I'm not happy with the corruption of the Parliamentary system and the inequality that London presides over the rest of the UK. As long as London was supported by the EU, its power could not be challenged. It's not our Government that made the decision to leave, the British electorate did. Subsequent Govt's had passed the buck on that responsibility, but, as stated, in 2019 we all voted to ensure that the party that promised they would, would form the next Government.
I'd have preferred a Labour presided brexit, but they had other ideas, didn't they.
If it's not important, why don't we?Maybe its the "I care so little about the fish, why don't we just concede it?" notion.
Is that part an actual Donald Trump quote?Who voted for it? (Well, maybe elites...)
Which would be why the EU was trying to get a lpf on corporation tax. Those will be difficult to answer.
The EU is merely a front for the pan-European corporations. We're dealing with the representatives of Big Business who want the closed shop kept tightly shut. It's the mob effectively in corporate form.
Benn was right, we should’ve never joined. Ah well, better late than never.
With al due respect.....Not really IMO
He certainly - and I suggest you also - know those points that I make are not aimed at the Remainer collective
Just those that have dominated the thread for years - seemingly intent on closing the thread to sensible debate by flooding it with inane bollocks
Anyway - the points that I would wish to acknowledge would be the quality of some analysis by Remainers of the article I linked
If that manifests then I will clearly need to accept that I misjudged, but so far that does not seem to be the case......

Don't know much about the French fishing industry, except it's bigger than ours, but suspect it'd largely an emotional rather than real issue too.It appears they have also convinced Macron and the French of its importance.

how many posts you done on fishing? think i've managed 2.Some of you seem a bit obsessed with fishing considering how unimportant it is.
Fishing is all they have.how many posts you done on fishing? think i've managed 2.
That comment only further demonstrates that you do not understand the value of the fishing topic in these negotiations
....I stopped reading everything but occasionally browse, hoping to still get some insights, but have pretty much come to the conclusion that I’ll learn nothing new in here.
None of you have any more insights. What will be will be and we’ll all find out soon enough.
Think my point is more it's a handy smokescreen for the government. Personally I don't care what EU rules we accept, or what we concede on LPF, the more we accept on them the less barriers between us and the EU. The government though will hope any concessions they make they can hideaway by trumpeting big but meaningless wins on fishing.Fishing is all they have.
