I can’t see him joining until the summer. You can see he is not enjoying his football. Barcelona are a disgrace for how they have behaved.
 
Anyone “not seeing” Messi in January needs to see the facts. He CLEARLY still wants out and he will get a better financial deal elsewhere rather than at Barça. We have something they need NOW: a La Masia CB. And, also, money. Doing this deal before the new president takes over and has to own not being able to convince him to stay is perfect for EVERYONE.

Just a shame it wasn't last year really, at 33yo we could have got 3 seasons out of him and then shuffle him off to the US for another couple and everybody would have been happy.

I will still take him in the summer because it will be good to see him in a City top and to see the BT/Sky cunts spluttering as they backtrack from every good thing they have ever said about him.

Except there are 8 men behind the ball and everyone is defending deep and narrow. There is usually no space in midfield which means the only extra man would be in wide spaces which can also be defended easier. Why is he not able to give the ball to griezmann or coutinho when he is marked by the 3 or 4 players? Or are they worse than all our players?

I obviously like and still want messi but you are acting like he would come and we would be able to beat teams that park the bus easily. Barca are also struggling to beat park the bus teams.

Pep's great Barcelona side struggled against parked buses. There's no set of players we can sign that'll magically make us better against parked buses.

Besides, City don't make signings based on how well they'd do specifically against parked buses. We generally beat those teams anyway, barring occasional exceptions.

Well to be fair we beat most teams who park the bus already, so having the quality that Messi still has can only be a good thing. As for do we have better players than Barca, then undoubtedly I’d say yes.

We still create chances against loaded defences. Imagine some of those falling to Messi as opposed to Sterling.
 
If Sterling can now get high 20s each season, I'm sure as fuck Messi can get mid-30s.

Very few of Sterling's goals come from his direct pace running on goal, they are all snaffled chances inside the penalty box, courtesy of our creation and his clever movement over two or three yards.

Messi in the same situations would certainly not need three chances to take one.

Especially so, when his ball retention is such, he can create space for himself as and when he sees fit.

Can't wait to see him, even if do have to let my season ticket go.

Would he go into that hot seat knowing there fucking carrupt, broke & almost sure of losing Messi?

If Lionel new the likes of Garcia were No 1 targets now because they can no longer shop at Harrods surely the warni g signs are up allover?

For what its worth unless Barca push Messi out in January trying to make him guilty of whats unfolding then Summer it is

Either way he signs a contract for Barca or City, no chance he goes to July without telling the world of his plans?
