There is a very subtle undertone to last night's result -
a) United probably have a much better chance of qualifying for next years CL by winning the Thursday Night Cup, than by their PL position.
b) With the Mould Trafford mob,UEFA will hope to draw a decent following for their second string competition.
It serves both sides. The UEFA officials must have been apoplectic when the ref' started handing out penalties and slam dunks.

If (a) happened, they would also go into the draw for the following CL competition seeded in pot one.....
That was the case with Sevilla in Chelsea's group this season.

Absolute nonsense that a team knocked out before the knockouts, or not good enough to qualify in the first place, goes into Pot 1.
But I suspect it was the only way they could sell the tournament to TV companies for a decent price
And also perhaps an insurance policy for G14 wankers like united and Inter

if that shower of shit get anywhere near winning it we know it will be a massive rig. They were handed it last time they won it and they tried all they could last year to gift it to them.

AZ, Astana and Partizan in the group followed by Club Brugge, LASK and Copenhagen before Sevilla in the Semi (by which time there were no longer any gimmes)

When they won it in 2017 they had to face Fenerbache, Feyenoord, and Zoraya in the group stages actually losing twice and going through as runners up then facing Saint Etienne, Rostov, Anderlecht, Celta Vigo and finally Ajax.

They only won both legs against Saint Etienne in the knockout stages as well.

So my prediction for their round of 32 game - one of Young Boys/Cluj, Molde/Rapid Wien, Wolfsberger, Maccabi/Sivasspor

That season they were routinely drawn against the worst team left in the competition while the better teams were busy being drawn against each other and knocking each other out.

F***ing Daily United.(Mail)

They hate City.

It’s not the first time they’ve pulled this stunt.

Liverpool, Chelsea, then straight to Barcelona. No mention of City.

These pricks are right up the list when it comes to bias behaviour. It is a popular online platform and they will feed the masses with unscrupulous one sided propaganda.

The media have their favs and we are not included unless it’s a negative piece to garner clicks.

I thought the MOTD2 analysis of the deficiencies in the Arsenal midfield and their lack of movement by their forwards was excellent. This is what I watch a summary show for. Excellent analysis.

It was really noticeable in the brief summary that MOTD2 did that Lacazette and Aubameyang were really static. I remember Arsenal at the end of last season and they have gone back a lot.
If we all watched MotD for excellent analysis we would have stopped watching years ago

Sports media going to town on racism.

Unless you are a rag **** and the silence is deafening.

You mean Sky Sports, BBC Football, The Guardian and the Mail haven't been going round anti-racism groups to see if any of them would give a quote on Cavani?

Sky and BT haven't asked current players in the after game interview what they think of Cavani's post?

It's not even correct anyway, Chelsea have a 16.08% of facing Leipzig but 18.62% of Gladbach, presumably rounded up to the 19% figure (slightly higher than the dippers).
