Could he surprise us all and go 5 at the back with Mendy left,Cancelo right back and Walker right centre half to give us that needed extra shot of pace to deal with the counter launches down the middle?

It would be more pragmatic but could work well with Rodri and Gundo at the base, Kev in front and two of Sterling/Jesus/Torres/ Mahrez starting up top?
A 3-5-2 wouldn’t surprise me at all.
Just hope he has practiced it more than pre-Lyon when we looked like amateurs

Sterling is usually woeful against them but he seems to have got his goalscoring Mojo back so maybe one last chance. He finally got the Liverpool monkey off his back so perhaps he will do likewise on Saturday.
However, performances like he has turned in against these lot in the past cannot be tolerated and I hope Pep has the balls to take him off if he bottles it again
If these past few weeks are anything to go by, Pep isn't going to be tolerating a weak Sterling performance as readily anymore.

It is fucking weird though with Sterling. It's not like he isn't good enough and yet he never seems to score against these guys. Still, if he's still on and we're winning in the 90th minute I expect some hilarious keep ball from him in the corner.

Did you see what Angelino did to them last night? They had no answer to the out and out width he brought. Wan Bissaka was in no man's land all game, not getting close enough but also leaving space inside, the centreback was pulled out to help him.

In any given attack Angelino could go to the byline or slip someone into the channel between LB and CB or find someone in the space opened up in the box.

It has to be Mendy. Cancelo will give them a free ride on that all day because he has to come inside.
Angelino’s standard of delivery is miles better than Mendy’s tbf fhough I fully accept the broader point that he would stretch their defence much more

I pray that Pep watched this game closely and took note of Dinho's performance.

If we play Gundogan and/or Rodri in the midfield, Ushited will run rings around us like they did last season too often. Play the guy and stop fucking around please gaffer.

You know we played Rodri and Gundogan in the midfield last season in one of the most dominant and humiliating derby victories since the takeover?

You know we lost three out of four derbies last season, because they basically let us have all the possession we want and then used their speed to hit us on the counter?

City for the win.. it’s their cup final this game.( oh how times have changed haha ) come on blues this will be tough

If you actually think it matters that we lost 0-1 in the second leg of the semi-final then you're beyond help. Funny how even rags don't celebrate that "victory".
Losing any game against them despicable cunts matters. Football, tiddlywinks, hide and seek.
We played them four times and lost three. That is a fact and it is unacceptable
Where are you from and long have you followed this club?

What happened at the end of that 0-1? At the full time whistle, what happened?

Did the United players celebrate a derby win? Did their fans give it large?

No, they slunk into the corner because we just knocked them out of a Cup semi-final.
They certainly gave it large around Manchester after beating us three times

No, they slunk into the corner and talked about if Solskjaer was going to get fired because we just knocked them out of a Cup semi-final.

Is this a picture of someone who just lost a derby?

well he did lose a derby, maybe that's been his problem.

He played weakened sides in two derbies and lost both. He wouldn’t have fucking dared do that for Barca in an El Classico.
He either doesn’t know or doesn’t care how much every single game against those cunts matters to us after decades of shite

You could knock up 5 or 6 teams for this if you are serious about pre empting Pep. No chance anyone will get it spot on. I'd like one thing. Sterling on the right please. That's all. Every other combination we have will give them probs but I want someone left footed on the left wing and right on the right. If we get that we win. No issue with predicting that at all.

So for that reason my folly in attempting an 11 would be

Eddy
Walker Stones Dias Cancelo
Gundo Kdb Bernardo
Raheem Jesus Foden

Just put legs in midfield and we will go ok.

Morally it should be a sick swan part 2.

I’m going for 0-3. All shady penalties and their only attacks whilst we get 5 goals disallowed by VAR for Jesus’ penis being in an offside position.

My lineup:

------------------Jesus--------------------

Sterling----------KDB-------------Torres

----------Gundo--------Rodri------------

Mendy----Laporte---Dias-----Cancelo

----------------Ederson------------------

This game is the most important one we've played this year.

Going for 2-0 City win.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is a prayer of sterling starting on the right - it will be Mahrez right and sterling on left
