Agree - but if he knew 6 months back where he would end up he would try. And the same way now he is putting in the calls basically asking for a coup and asking for fabricated / bocus claims to be put forward as genuine evidence of fraud, he would do it pre-emptively. As of right now he is trying to 'fix' the election. So you have to assume he would go further in fixing the next election.

He tried fairly hard well in advance of this one with his nobbling of the USPS, discrediting mail in voting, attempted disenfranchisement of minority areas, making up dirt on Biden etc etc. Hard to imagine what else he could have done to try and fix it although I suspect his enablers have some ideas if he ever gets another chance.

I think I said it to you before, but I really can’t see him succeeding as he will find as he has with the judiciary that the military serve the constitution not him or any president for that matter.

I fear there may be violence before this is over but faced with US security forces of any description, these guys who play at being soldiers would run a mile.

106 Republicans afraid to death that if they don’t stick their collective tongues up Trump’s anal cavity, they’ll be primaried in 2022 by some lunatic fringe member of the right who will use their unwillingness to bend to Trump’s will as a stick to beat them with.
 
if you fear for your life, you cannot serve the people. You are elected to represent EVERYONE. This nation is broken for years. These people will not stand up for their constituents against a tyrant. Thank God enough regular people did. But where do we go from here with his already unfettered rhetoric even more unfettered after he’s tossed out?

I`ve said this for years, that he`s divided the country so much that it could take decades to repair, if ever. I also said that he wouldn`t go quietly and would try to pull the walls down around himself as much as he could.
The republican party should never be trusted again, it is rotten to its very core.
