Bravo, Sir. The entire family are terrible, terrible human beings. When Bacon face goes, I'll be gorging myself on jelly and ice cream.
A fucking horror show. Also heard horrendous tales of how his wife treats waiters, serving and bar staff in restaurants around Cheshire and the city centre. Lady Muck doesn't even begin to describe the nonsensical entitlement

Pisscan also used to get a nice little cut of any charitable cash donations from testimonial games. **** of a man.

He was great for Aberdeen and great for united. Cannot be disputed, he was a fantastic man manager.
But I’d argue he was bad for football.
The erosion of respect for and at times outright hostility towards referees and match officials, opposing teams and managers, international football, the FA Cup and indeed a friendly local rivalry all have his grubby, bitter, self interested greasy fingerprints all over them.
Panorama exposed the shady financial links between himself, his son, the blackmail of young players and financial kickbacks back to the Ferguson family empire.
His much threatened libel suit never materialised after united’s lawyers told him he was bang to rights.
Instead of being arrested and jailed for extortion the club decided to back his boycott of a media rights holder.
The craven premier league allowed him to do so for a decade.
The craven BBC then gave him an award in exchange for belatedly changing his stance.
He persuaded united’s lawyers to pressure a court of law into inexplicably bringing forward the pre-agreed adjournment of his other son’s sentencing hearing for volleying the mother of his grandchildren’s head around the driveway of Ferguson’s own home, so the full gory details of her ordeal and injuries wouldnt be reported in the media
It is glorious that united’s current troubles stem from the ego, personal avarice and greed of a self-righteous, self-proclaimed so-called socialist who demanded the financial benefits of jism milked form a horse he ‘owned’ as a basic bribe and never paid a penny for.
Don’t forget he took the Glaizer hush money.
So yeah, great for united, horrendous for humanity
I don't think anyone will have the balls to publish the unvarnished truth about Ferguson and his financial dealings when he finally kicks the bucket. The kickbacks at Old Trafford were not just confined to the football side of things. The lack of scrutiny over finances at Cayman Islands FC is pretty staggering and shows the hypocrisy of the UK media at its worst.

Correct, and the appointment of Neil Ashton from the most read newspaper in the country to their media management and damage limitation team demonstrates just how fucking bent the entire thing is

Just takes one journalist with who doesn’t give a fuck to expose the bastards!

You my man are in a roll these last few days, fancy doing the team talk on Saturday?

..... and let’s not forget the 99 questions tabled by the “Colmore Mafia” who were significant shareholders at the swamp. Confirmation in public of some of GPC behaviour.

The whole thing would make a really good gangster movie.

He sounds like the vermin gene was always in him tbf. He just found himself naturally attracted to a job where his inner gobshite would be an asset rather than a hindrance.
It might surprise everyone but there are a great many decent, diligent, honest, professional and ethical people working in the media. Usually in the background, mind you - unfortunately they are rarely if ever the people calling the shots, writing the cheques or building their own personal profile/brand.
I knew his dad before l knew him. The dad worked on the distribution side of a longer established sister paper with the Art Deco building not too far from the Etihad. The son was not a bit like his dad in any way so perhaps the vermin gene came down the maternal side.
He certainly left an impression on me in one evening which still persists about 30 years later.

Never let our Rag brethren forget but for GPCs major fall out over horse semen breeding rights/ownership issues with the Irish shareholders (the Glazers eventually pounced when they sold their shares) so his arrogance led to their own demise.

But I have to admit he did a fantastic job at Aberdeen
Did a great job at Aberdeen. Read an interview with one of their former players. It seems like he he inspired them with rhetoric about what he called the West Coast Teams. It was based on hate. That's probably fine in a one club town miles from your rivals. But when you share a city its best to show a little respect to your opposition especially if they are shit, like we were most of the time he was here. Or one day it can turn round to bite you on the arse. There aren't many City fans who respect his achievements at the Rags

The press/media do big up taggart but all he real was a big fish in a small pond. Utd biggest club ( premier league was mostly just two teams )in Europe ( lol ) in won the champions league twice in over 25 years of trying. I would say for such a big club that should be classed as failure.

My late old man always told me of how City and utd always got on no hatred as such, use to be an end of season cricket match even !. My dad swore blind that all this hatred was brought to Manchester by taggart, he hated taggart for what he has done.

Think Ferguson's problem was he never took City seriously seeing not a Celtic, Rangers situation but Celtic and Patrick Thistle. He viewed Liverpool as his only real rivals and was actually hurt that in spite of all his achievements and trophies a good half of Manchester despised him. When they won the treble it must have pissed him off that their was as much celebration in the city over our third level promotion. When we started to win trophies he couldn't get out quickly enough, seeing the writing on the wall.
I think he knew before we started to win trophies.

I think the 4-3 loss and the Carling cup semi final in the same season he realised we could compete with them, our owners was serious about becoming a top club and we weren't going away
