Sadly we need to take the risks because our front three are so poor, in the big matches, these games will invariably end up in defeat.

United have been terrible this season at home, had come of a crushing defeat midweek, and due to us having a dead rubber, we were significantly more rested. Once you start changing your philosophy of play, negating your own sides attributes, you end up with performances like today and against Lyon.

A draw was agreed upon before kick off by Pep and Solksjaer, just as it was with Pep and Klopp last month.

Sorry Jimmy have to disagree for once. Thought we went for it in the second half. We just didn’t have the quality on the field to take advantage of some of Kevs brilliance. Sergio and Phil would’ve made a difference. Thought the Rags defence was very good today. Remember they were on the back of a poor result and it’s a derby so they were bound to be more solid. 0-0 is disappointing but not awful.

it’s a fine tactic if you are second or top but when you are just in the top half , I would expect more tbh , I would hope we are trying to win the league.

I hope we we arent becoming arsenal quickly, it’s all about the top 4 .

Yep agree.

Pep has changed things up which we've all called for. However the forward players just aren't taking their chances.
 
80th minute for the 1st booking in a derby game ffs.
I think they were all planning to go out later tonight for a Christmas piss up.

Not so sure about Laporte as his absence from the team has only come about recently but Bernardo is another one who should be starting regularly over numerous players who get picked ahead of him who I worry might get pissed off. The fact you mentioned him suggests you think the same as well.
 
That's the first time during a Derby, or any important game, when I've cut both my finger nails and toe nails while the game is actually on. Gripping, it certainly wasn't. We can look decent against shite, but that's 3 pretty average performances against the dippers, spurs and the rags in pretty quick succession, with just 2 points and 1 goal in those 3 games, we are a mile off it currently.

maureen always used to say never lose a big game get at least a point,i think pep is going down that route at the moment and as long as we win most of the home big games and beat the poor teams we"ll be there or there abouts

i can see your point mate , but we didnt really have their defence rocking with continual pressure or last ditch defending , agree about Foden a local lad given the last 20 minutes to win a derby game , madness in my book.

Exactly, we've suddenly become shit scared when facing the better teams in the league, Chelsea away should be interesting or maybe not.

Let’s see where we are with 18 games to go or after the Christmas new year fixtures if we are within 6 points we will have a chance at the league.
 
Ive calmed down a bit and looking back at the game, once again Pep has been let down by shit finishing. Pep can't stick the ball in the net for them, defensively we look stronger and Pep seems to have resolved some other issues we had. He was a lot more passive today and the prime aim was to not lose but we created two good chances and we missed both. Score tehm and we are wanking ourselves over a Pep masterclass.

We need to buy a goal scorer.
