I've posted this in his player thread, but I wonder if Laporte is not getting games because Stones, Aké, and Dias need them more than him? Stones is rediscovering his form and the other two need games to settle. Dias has been played so often I think it's at least true for his case specifically.

Preserves Laporte too in the long run.

Of course this is just speculation.

I would have been mad if foden was dropped today. But he is starting. So I have no issues with sterling starting. I want to see sterling on right too. Let's see.
