Don’t call me Shirley :-)I cant see how the holiday rules make any sense for tier three areas , you are breaking the rules shirley , it is such a cluster fuck of mixed messages , trying to stay popular
Yep,said it last week,so many are pouring into Cheshire on the piss.People are crossing tiers anyway. It won’t matter a bit if we do it by borough cause it’s happening anway.
Im right on the edge of Cheshire/GM and the amount of tier crossing is extreme.

id be amazed if it isn'tGuessing it’s near certain that January will be a national lockdown to recover from the Christmas gatherings?

Totally agreeI do get why people are angry over this decision and imo the Premier League need telling to stop fans in just siome grounds. It is creating an obvious unfairness and makes this season even more of a meaningless money making exercise than it already mostly is.
Footballers are not playing as they used to because they are human beings not robots and - hello - there is a global pandemic on and they are putting their families at risk meeting many people day after day all over the country and the world.
This is the reason we are having such a strange season.
But it is very simple that these tiers give an edge to those able to have fans and there ought to be a vote that it is all or none not just the chosen few.
You mean Wilmslow in tier 2. I am waiting to see over the next couple of weeks how that has affected the area. I know there will always be borders but whilst I want to go to a restaurant I do think it the right decision. It's obvious people are doing what they want at the moment and this will impact the rate of infection moving forward regardless of the tier system. Hopefully by the time we get to mid - late January the rate will be stable and low enough for us to into tier 2That is a fair point but you could also apply the same argument to the surrounding areas of Wilmslow currently stuck in tier 3. I know people who have been travelling to Wilmslow, Poynton, Alderley etc from Manchester for meals.
Think we've got to the back patting stage with some these now. Talking about NHS track and trace finding 90 odd % of contacts. Unfortunately 6 months too late. That's part of problem with the chamber being empty because at times there would be howls of derisionWancock telling us "not to blow it now" as if he has been competent and had everything under control.
Tosser.
Yep,half a dozen of my daft mates were sending pictures of themselves on the piss in a Warrington pub last week,no meals....not required apparently.I run a pub right on the boundary so I’m tier 2. I can’t explain the amount of people crossing over from bramhall etc. Even further afield actually.
I am waiting for news about the Oxford vaccine. Nothing else really matters. It is what I have been saying in here endlessly since August when we saw it happen to Wigan. It is why Cheshire East is in trouble right now.
Tiers are like sieves that leak the virus to less restricted areas around them.
Unfortunately only nationwide rules are effective. And we will almost certainly be in them by early January if the next 2 weeks go as most fear.
Perhaps common sense will win out. Perhaps. But Jan/Feb are the critical months as with luck they are the last ones when the vaccine is starting to come on stream and the virus has chance to run amok and overwhelm an already stretched NHS every year at that time
But they are by far the most dangerous 8 weeks of the pandemic by happenstance of timing.
This is a winter peak virus and w were coming out of that in wave 1 and building up to it in wave 2. Any wave 3 will be in the middle of it and that is the problem.
