It’s about the commuter area more than it is boundaries. While Trafford has lower numbers, it’s in the commuter area with very high numbers and it wouldn’t take much to sweep across Trafford if the infections from Manchester were transmitted. So sale where I live has a lower infection rate than Bristol which has been downgraded?
What are the government and Hancock doing? They are fucking idiots.
Now talk of a january lockdown yet we were told weeks ago we should be ok by the spring.
This is a farce.
Got to keep your chin up fella.I would like to think im quite an optimistic person by nature, but for some reason i dont think i have ever felt as downbeat as i do now about this virus. Should be happy but our whole house is down in the dumps and weve been very fortunate financially compared to some. Sad times.
I didn't have a temperature or completely lose my taste but lost my appetite completely and hardly ate anything for 3 weeks, the odd thing was a drink of Coca Cola tasted liked cigarette ash (I don't smoke). Other symptoms were crashing headache, brain fog, lethargy, cough and a general feeling of being floored. It was about 8 weeks ago now, after the symptoms had gone I was left feeling knackered at the end of the day but thankfully that's getting better now. Had an antibody test which confirmed I'd had Covid.I’ve just lost all taste but no temperature and I’ve not been out an about, hospital a couple of times
I'm in Tameside which yesterday had the lowest rate in GM but I think leaving us in T3 is for the best, I'd say the whole country should be treated the same, it's absurd Dipperville is left in T2, they are going to get a huge spike in January, it's inevitable. It’s about the commuter area more than it is boundaries. Trafford’s infection rate has gone up 37% this week.
Plus a January lockdown would make a lot of sense. January is midWinter, Spring doesn’t start until March. We’ve barely got going with the vaccine yet, and I reckon it’ll be the warmer months of May and June before things even start to go back to normal.
Yeah I live in Trafford and I’m glad we’ve been left in Tier 3, it’s not the time to move down yet. Case numbers are lower but the NHS are struggling and Trafford’s citizens contribute to that. We are one conurbation, after all.I'm in Tameside which yesterday had the lowest rate in GM but I think leaving us in T3 is for the best, I'd say the whole country should be treated the same, it's absurd Dipperville is left in T2, they are going to get a huge spike in January, it's inevitable.
We are much closer to the end than we are to the beginning of this pandemic - one final push and I suspect the trajectory on the well being chart will be incrementally increasing slowly throughout January and pushing steeper by mid March as we will all know someone that will have been vaccinated by then - City getting their shit together would also be an added boost to morale ;-)Slept on it and woke up still thoroughly depressed, where the fuck is the end in all this shite? I know the vaccine gives us light at the end of the tunnel but how long is this tunnel?
Everything is crap, im missing the human interaction of daily life and im lucky to live with my wife and 3 kids, I have no idea how people that live alone are coping.
Tier 2 would have given a timely boost to everyone in the area yet as it is it feels like no matter how well behaved us Northerners are were stuck on the naughty list because we had the temerity to question the circus 'in charge'
Along with certain Cheshire boroughs, they are also encouraging fuckwits to pour into their county.I'm in Tameside which yesterday had the lowest rate in GM but I think leaving us in T3 is for the best, I'd say the whole country should be treated the same, it's absurd Dipperville is left in T2, they are going to get a huge spike in January, it's inevitable.
Not coping isn’t an option mate. You have to have the mentality to drive through it and cope. There’s nobody else to bounce off, to rely on, so you just have to have a staunch determination.Slept on it and woke up still thoroughly depressed, where the fuck is the end in all this shite? I fuckin love your positivity and hope and i hope youre right!!!We are much closer to the end than we are to the beginning of this pandemic - one final push and I suspect the trajectory on the well being chart will be incrementally increasing slowly throughout January and pushing steeper by mid March as we will all know someone that will have been vaccinated by then - City getting their shit together would also be an added boost to morale ;-)
Sadly, I think you will be wrong. Too many want to party, especially at New Year. The fact a vaccine is now avail will fuel that problemReally do think this talk of a massive post Christmas spike is over exaggerated
Kids are going to be off school, most people are off work, they were in for the full duration of the lockdown last time.
Hospitality is shut for most of the country.
There's probably going be be a million of the most vulnerable fully vaccinated half way through Jan

In the past week the 40 - 49 age group has had the highest rate of testing positive in England. With 30 - 39 just behind and 20 - 29 in third place.

Been out on the piss or crack parties now the kids are back?Lot of parents of teenage schoolchildren in that age group. I would hazard a guess that’s why.
Well, from what we have seen so far with illegal parties and raves etc, I can imagine there being bigger events over the festive period and too many not wanting to stop after the 27th.yea I agree there will be more in home mixing
but there will be none in school and much reduced at work, I think it should easily offset
