This won't last long but I swear as much as the same old people argue and discuss politics and can be abusive about politicians (and sometimes each other) it never gets to the levels of total fucking toxicity and garbage as when we concede a goal or don't win on the matchday thread

So be proud politics sub forum, we may all be stubborn and partisan and cranky in our defence or our political ideologies, but we ain't never getting as batshit crazy as those that live two forums up ;-)

Some of the absolute histrionics, meltdowns and sheer arrogance you get to see are really quite staggering at times.

Then again, the match day forum isn’t that much better either ;)

I can’t imagine any other football forum has such a busy and comprehensive politics sub forum though, so you must be proud of that.

I’m proud when there’s sensible, intelligent debate. Less so when there’s senseless arguments and trolling. I think you severely overestimate the value of online advertising btw!

It is better for ones sanity to stay away from football threads when there is a game on. The average football fan is as clueless about football as Johnson is at running the country.

The average football fan though posts with his heart just like many of the politics cunts do.

If you want rational debate on anything and wish to learn something about life and how it works, then I would recommend logging off the forum, buying the complete works of George Orwell and a crate of Stella and returning afresh in the New Year to argue the same old nonsense with the same old people but at least you will have had some Stella and if you can remember a little of what you have read you will be slightly better educated albeit with a bad hangover.

That's a good idea, how well does it keep? I was a Head bar/cellarman in my younger days and I do get fussy over how beer is kept.

7" singles, fuck me, i think the last one I bought was by Sham69, I do love the Pogues though and you cant beat a bit of Irish music for a bit of a jig.
